I have gained 7 kgs of weight in last 2 years. I have increased my physical activities like walking running cycling etch to 45 mins daily. Still I am unable to shed weight from childhood I have cravings for sweet and junk food in the evening. I can't stop myself from having junk food in the evening. Suggest dry which mitigates this tendency and I eat healthy food and thereby reduce weight.

Hi, Thank you for your query. We will be happy to help you. It is important that you curb your cravings and do not give in to them. If you crave sweets, curb these cravings with a fruit. Stack your kitchen cabinets with healthy food items such as dry fruits, nuts, seeds, fruits etc. And not with packaged food items. So, next time you have cravings, eat one of these healthy foods. Have healthy snacks such as sprouts, fruits, nuts and seeds, makhana etc. In the evening. Stay hydrated; drink at least 3 litres of water daily. Have 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Eat 4 to 5 servings of vegetable and fruits every day. Eat calorie controlled meals. You can decrease your regular food portions by a little amount. Avoid munching. Eat a protein rich breakfast every morning. Drink plenty of water. Have dinner early and keep it light. Exercise regularly, at least 5 times a week. Hi lybrate-user, generally people think that if you will eat less you loose weight but this a big Meath. For weight loss. It is important to take frequent meals at regular interval of time. Empty stomach try to include 2 tsp aleovera juice+ 2 tsp amla juice in equal amount of water. In Breakfast you can museli/oats+ milk+ 1 apple /1 bowl green moong dal sprouts/1-2 besan cheela+ green chutney. In mid morning 1 cup green tea + 1 bowl fruits. Lunch 1-2 wheat bran roti+ 1bowl veg+ 1 bowl salad/1 bowl veg daliya + 1bowl curd E.T:1 cup tea+ 1bowl roasted channa/murmura Dinner: 1 bowl fruits+ 1glass skimmed milk/Grilled/roasted paneer/1-2 bowl cooked yellow moong dal+ 1bowl veg. After Dinner Take 1 cup jasmine tea. Avoid to take every kind of packaged, process food and all kind of sugary drink. Try to take your dinner as soon as possible and avoid jogging after dinner, you can go for walk after dinner. You can do exercise in evening time.

Along with it, make sure that you do not eat any outside food; that includes junk as well as processed foods. Also include a source of protein in your breakfast. Eat a breakfast that is rich in proteins. Drink plenty of water, at least 3 litres every day. Have your dinner early and keep it light. Also, it is important to stay physically active. Even if you don't get a lot of time, do simple exercises such as- taking stairs instead of lift wherever you go, walking a few steps every hour etc. We are here to guide you. Best way to fight cravings is to consume more natural food. Mostly the cravings are for processed food. If you crave for sweets, take some fruits or dried fruits like dates, raisin, apricot etc. If you crave to munch anything crispy, do not go for salty snacks, take some roasted peanuts or channa. Also eat plenty of veggies. This will alter taste perception and cravings for processed food will reduce.

Hello, Go for a brisk walk in d morning / evening at least 10 000, steps, dly.    •Tk, 3/4 litres  of water, free from conteminents to detoxify yourself.  •  Go for meditation to reduce your stress and to nourish cell& tissues to curb fats cells.     •Go for either, cycling, jogging, swimming, skipping, gardening, playing badminton, dancing,regularly.     •opt staircase, instead of a lift in your office.    •Tk, oats with green tea  or, 1 slice of whole grain bread with 1 cup of cooked vegetable soup + 1 fruit (pomegranate, pear) in d breakfast.     •Tk, salad, fruits,sprouts in ample qty in lunch, your meal b preferably, vegetarian ,high in proteins and fibre, maintains 1300-1600 calories through dietary  regulation.      •consume salad, fruits (not juice) whenever you feel hungry. Hi I understand your concern completely .But first thing that stops us in losing weight is stress so do not take stress. Take it as a task to be accomplished in next 6 months and go for it step wise. Take care of following things 1. Water intake 2 to 3 litres daily 2.sleep for 8 hours 3.eat good breakfast and very light dinner 4.exercise daily for 30 minutes 5.Be active the whole day 6 .No smoking or drinking. It is important that you keep yourself active through out the day inspite of nature of your job. Take stairs instead of lift, get up from desk for water breaks, stretch in between, b aware of your posture while working. These small changes can help you prevent many problems which are caused by long time sitting. Sitting is new smoking .Besides take time to exercise once in a day and eat home made food.

Hi Crunches, Twist Crunches, Side Crunch, Reverse Crunches, Vertical Leg Crunch, Bicycle Exercise, Lunge Twist, Rolling Plank are best exercises to reduce weight. Regimens 1. Old sali rice, Samvaka, Kodrava, Bajara, Maze (makka), Barley, Green gram (mudga), Kulattha, Pigeon pea (arhara ),Chick pea (chana), Brinjal, Parvala, Drum stick (shigru), Butter milk, Cardamom, Amalaki, Mustard oil, Luke warm water, Food substance with pungent, bitter and astringent taste should be recommended. 2. Freshly harvested sali rice, Wheat, Black gram (udada), Potato, Milk, Curd, Meet, Fish, Clarified butter, Jaggery and intake of water after meal should not be allowed. Useful single formulations in Ayurveda for Obesity 1. Suddha Silajatu (Black Bitumen) 500 mg twice a day with hot water. 2. Vijaysar Kwath (Terminalia tomentosa) 20 ml twice a day with honey. 3.
