Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

There is knee problem in my knee, whenever I sit for sometime my knee automatically locks itself and it is very painful what to do.

This is because of meniscus tear. You need to get MRI done at best centre with 3 tesla machine. It will show what's wrong with your knee. Then treatment can be advised. It's not good to get recurrent episodes of knee locking as it will lead to damage to knee cartilage

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Hi muscle pain occurs due to any stress or strain on the muscle due to certain heavy activities but if the pain has come without doing such activities then please get your vitamin d3 ad b12 checked. Start strengthening and stretching your thigh muscles.

Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get an X-ray done. Get back to me thereafter.

Try doing stretching exercises for leg muscles daily and use heat ot ice on painful area three times a day for 10 minutes. If pain is still there then see a physiotherapist.

pain in the knee while climbing stairs is more likely due to patellofemoral arthritis (wear and tear in the knee cap joint). quadriceps strengthening exercises and avoidance of sitting on the floor and squatting helps. weight reduction makes a huge difference

1. Heavy meals must be avoided as they take a long time to digest. This may exert undue pressure on the lower back region. 2. While sleeping, lie straight on your back or with bent knees supported by a pillow. 3. Do some light sciatica exercise such as light walking and jogging. Do not exercise if your condition is extremely painful. 4. Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis can be quite helpful in relieving pain. 5. Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag).

Dear user, ask her to wear knee caps, apply wax to reduce pain. No sitting or standing long duration. If pain is severe apply heat fermentation with diclofenac gel.

1.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 2.Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. 3.Increase the consumption of vitamin C in diet. 4.Take fresh Ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with Honey. 5.While sleeping, lie straight on your back or with bent knees supported by a pillow. 6.Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis can be quite helpful in relieving pain.... 7.Practice yoga and pranayam daily early morning.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, dead lifts are usually not recommended for any pre-existing spinal condition. This exercise puts abnormal stress on your thoracolumbar spine. However you should do back and core strengthening exercises like pilates. Regards.

It may not b becoz of cx spondylosis so get exam done by gynae . even if it is becoz of spondylosis learn exercise from physiotherapist do them at least twice a day

Writer's cramp is a focal dystonia of the fingers, hand, and/or forearm. Symptoms usually appear when a person is trying to do a task that requires fine motor movements, such as writing or playing a musical instrument. Clumsiness and painful tightness in the hand

And forearm occur during writing or playing, and abnormal tension

And strange posturing of hand develops.

It has a strong psycological over lay. A patient hearing of the complaints of the patient & reassuring him of recovery helps him a great deal. Tranqulizers & anti oxydents give relief.

Local botulinum toxin injection produces temporary relief.

Retraining and learning new techniques help some patients. But the outlook is poor in some cases and may lead to the end of musical careers.

Last month I got periods again after 14 days counting day one as first day. And this time it was for 10 days. 3/4 days Before commencement I used to get pinching pain only I the tip of my breasts. It went away after the period started those ended on 6th march. Again I M getting pain in the tips. Some times its really bad, I have to hold them, rub gently, press lightly for few mins. It's more on one side. FYI I am going through a lot of stress. Stress beyond my capabilities. Nowadays. Financial crises, no mediclaim. Is it due to that.. Or is this Menopause. Please help. Pleaaassseee.

Irregualr menses durin 43 years age is common because of perimenopause. During this phase hormones are on decline and along with stress menses can come like this. Brest pain is also suggestive of hormonal disturbance. As it is happening more than once you should get ultrasound done and pap test to find out the exact cause and accordingly it can be treated.

Hi, many people with back pain have jobs that require prolonged sitting. In most cases, these people are leaning or hunching forward over a desk, causing the curve in the lower back to straighten or reverse. If you spend significant time in a sitting position, then you have to either remember to keep the arch in your back or get a small pillow or lumbar cushion to keep it there for you. Of course, the best thing you can do for prolonged sitting is to get up and move around. You will be greatly surprised how beneficial it can be to take two ten-second laps around your desk every half hour. If you must sit for long periods, rest your feet on the floor or on a low stool, whichever is more comfortable.
