Dear user. I can understand. Splitting in vagina during intercourse in sex will not affect sperm and pregnancy. If vagina becomes dry in quick time then you can use vaginal lubricants. Orange sweet lime and pomegranate fruits will positively affect sperm and fertility. Take care.

10 Signs That You May Be Bipolar DISORDER

When it comes to mental illness, there are plenty of stereotypes. But in reality, mood disorders can be hard to pinpoint?particularly in people with bipolar disorder symptoms.
Here are 10 signs that mood problems may be due to more than a quirky or difficult personality:

Greater Than Great Mood
Bipolar disorder is characterized by up-and-down episodes of mania and depression. During a manic phase, some patients can have a total break from reality. But hypomania, which is also a symptom of the disorder, is a high-energy state in which a person feels exuberant but hasn?t lost his or her grip on reality. ?Hypomania can be a pretty enjoyable state, really,? A person?s mood can be elevated, they may have a lot of energy and creativity, and they may experience euphoria. This is the ?up? side of bipolar disorder that some people with the condition actually enjoy?while it lasts.
Inability To Complete Tasks
Having a house full of half-completed projects is a hallmark of bipolar disorder. People who can harness their energy when they are in a hypomanic phase can be really productive. Those who can?t often go from task to task, planning grand, unrealistic projects that are never finished before moving on to something else. ?They can be quite distractible and may start a million things and never finish them,?
Depression
A person who is in a bipolar depressive state is going to look just like someone who has regular depression. ?They have the same problems with energy, appetite, sleep, and focus as others who have ?plain old depression,?? Unfortunately, typical antidepressants alone don?t work well in patients who are bipolar. They can even make people cycle more frequently, worsening their condition, or send someone into a break-with-reality episode. ?Antidepressants can be downright dangerous in people with bipolar because they can send them into mania,?

Irritability
Some people with this condition suffer from ?mixed mania,? where they experience symptoms of mania and depression at the same time. During this state, they are often extremely irritable. Everyone has bad days, which is one reason this kind of bipolarity is much harder to recognize. ?We are all irritable or moody sometimes,? . ?But in people with bipolar disorder it often becomes so severe that it interferes with their relationships?especially if the person is saying, ?I don?t know why I?m so irritable?I can't control it.??
Rapid Speech
Some people are naturally talkative; we all know a motormouth or Chatty Cathy. But ?pressured speech? is one of the most common symptoms of bipolar disorder. This kind of speech occurs when someone is really not in a two-way conversation, The person will talk rapidly and if you try to speak, they will likely just talk over you. They will also sometimes jump around to different topics. ?What?s kind of a red flag is when it is atypical for the person to talk like this,? doing it only when they are in a manic cycle but not at other times,
Problems At Work
People with this disorder often have difficulty in the workplace because so many of their symptoms can interfere with their ability to show up for work, do their job, and interact productively with others. In addition to having problems completing tasks, they may have difficulty sleeping, irritability, and an inflated ego during a manic phase, and depression at other times, which causes excessive sleeping and additional mood problems. A lot of the workplace problems can be interpersonal ones,
Substance Abuse
About 50% of people with bipolar disorder also have a substance abuse problem, particularly alcohol use, . Many people will drink when they are in a manic phase to slow themselves down, and use alcohol to improve their mood when they are depressed.
Erratic Behavior
When they are in a manic phase, people with bipolar disorder can have an inflated self-esteem. ?They feel grandiose and don?t consider consequences; everything sounds good to them,? . Two of the most common types of behavior that can result from this are spending sprees and unusual sexual behavior. ?I have had a number of patients who have had affairs who never would have done that if they weren't in a manic episode?during this episode they exhibited behavior that is not consistent with what they would do normally,?

I am a 47 years old man suffering from sneezing, watery eyes, rhinitis and congested nose. Throughout the year I have cold and flu. I underwent an X-ray of my nose twice and the report came normal each time: PNS (OM View) - maxillary and frontal sinuses are clear, nasal septum lies in the midline. I am a 47 years old man suffering from sneezing, watery eyes, rhinitis and congested nose. Throughout the year I have...
There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water. The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. In general you should: • get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold • staying at home will keep you from spreading germs • drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Humidify the rooms you are in most or your whole house if possible. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

Nose Bleeding - Types And Causes

DNB (ENT), MBBS, MNAMS - Otorhinolaryngology
ENT Specialist, Gurgaon
Nose Bleeding - Types And Causes

Nosebleeds are a common occurrence, and may indicate a severe medical condition. The rupture of the blood vessels within the front and back of the nose can cause such bleeding. These blood vessels are very tender and, thus, bleed easily.

There are two kinds of nose bleeds: namely anterior and posterior nosebleeds.

An anterior nosebleed occurs when the blood vessels at the front of the nose break or rupture, giving rise to bleeding. A posterior nosebleed is when the rupture takes place in a deeper part of the nose. The latter is more dangerous because blood can flow down the back of the throat.

Some of the causes of nose bleeding are:

- Trauma to the face, such as a punch on the face
- Repeated bouts of nose picking or irritation can also cause nosebleed
- Although rare, inability of the blood to clot can also cause the nose to bleed
- High blood pressure can also be a contributing factor

According to some people, cold can cause your nose to bleed. This holds true to an extent. Among the many reasons that can cause the nosebleed, summers serve as one.

This is because:

- Summer months are dry and hot, both of which are bad for your nose. The protective coating of mucus present within the nasal cavity can get dry due to low humidity in the hot months. The loss of the mucus causes your nasal cavity to be prone to dryness, leading to subsequent bleeding.

- The heat also has another damaging effect, as summers tend to intensify allergy, and an allergic reaction can cause nosebleeds.

Washing your nose with cool water and avoiding being subjected to direct sunlight may help to prevent nosebleeds.

Nausea Weight gain Headaches, dizziness Tenderness of the breast Spotting may occur especially with pills containing progestin only Mood swings During a D&C, you lie on your back and place your legs in stirrups like during a pelvic exam. Then the doctor inserts a speculum into the vagina and holds the cervix in place with a clamp. Although the D&C involves no stitches or cuts, the doctor cleanses the cervix with an antiseptic solution.

How to Deal With Epilepsy?

MD (Med) -, MBBS
Internal Medicine Specialist, Gurgaon
How to Deal With Epilepsy?

Epilepsy is a relatively common disorder. Most cases of epilepsy can be controlled with a combination of drug therapy and healthy lifestyle. In some cases, surgery may also be advised. Epilepsy affects not only the lifestyle of the patient but also that of their caregiver. Each person reacts to epilepsy in a different way and hence the type of care needed also varies from person to person. While some patients have few seizures and require care only when they're having a seizure others need round the clock care. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if a loved one suffers from epilepsy.

  1. Know what type of epilepsy he/she is dealing with: Not all epileptic seizures are the same. Find out what type of seizures your loved one suffers from and what are the possible triggers associated with Involve yourself in their lifestyle. Epilepsy should not be a reason for your loved one to lock themselves in a room to stay safe. Participate in activities with them of you feel the activity may be a safety risk if they were to have a seizure; for example - swimming.
  2. Notice seizure triggers: Often an epileptic patient may not remember the seizure after it has occurred. As their care giver, keep a seizure diary to track their seizures and its related triggers. Look for patterns in the triggers to their epilepsy attacks.
  3. Keep them safe during a seizure: When experiencing a seizure, the patient will lose consciousness, experience muscle convulsions and may grit his teeth. If the person is standing, hold them so that they do not fall. If they are lying down, try turning them onto their side. Do not put anything into their mouth.
  4. Take care of them after a seizure: After the seizure, people are most likely to be confused, tired and have a headache. Check for injuries and keep them calm till medical help arrives. Loosen clothing around their neck and ensure that there is nothing inhibiting their breathing.
  5. Medical identification: While someone who suffers from seizures often is likely to always have someone with them, others who have rare seizures may often venture out alone. In such cases, ensure that they always have medical identification on them. Also make sure that their friends, colleagues etc are aware of their medical condition.
  6. Help them maintain a healthy lifestyle: Staying active is essential for people with epilepsy. Avoid contact sports and pick low impact exercises like walking, running or swimming. Following a buddy system is essential when an epileptic person works out. If you wish to discuss on any specific problem, you can consult a neurologist and ask a free question.
