Sir,, diabetes will be associated with hypertension most of the times... So do get him evaluated for that.. And diabetes if uncontrolled can lead to neuropathies I.e usually affects nerves.. That leads to pain too... So please consult a good diabetician for good blood sugar control ... Personally, you can ensure he follows a healthy lifestyle like regular exercise, healthy diabetic diet..

Pp 150 Now when she walk abouts 500 meters. She feeling pain in left arm
What is ...
Hi, looking at the details mentioned her sugar levels look good. In fact fasting should come down to about 100 mg. Walking 500 mts is as good as doing nothing. She is already over weight with a bmi of 25.44 kg / m2 (normal <23 kg/m2). Her ideal body weight should be 45 kgs. So weight reduction is a necessity. Anginal pain usually comes on exertion. If you have any doubt get an ecg done to see if there is any problem or a stress test (tmt). But as regards diabetes control she needs to increase her walking to at least 45 minutes plus.

1. Reduce your weight to 70 kg 2. Do regular exercise. 3. Avoid direct sugars and high carbohydrate food 4. Use food rich in fiber. Repeat blood sugar after 1 month if it is still high then you need medical management.

My blood sugar level is 80/150, now I am taking Walaphage GP2 (1 tab/day). Can I reduce the medicine?

My blood sugar level is 80/150, now I am taking Walaphage GP2 (1 tab/day). Can I reduce the medicine?
Mr. lybrate-user, You have mentioned blood glucose levels as FBS 80 mg & PP 150 mg. These are good, showing very good control. But just based on one day's blood glucose levels no decision is possible. Secondly the levels are in control because of adequate medication, hence, if dose is reduced, the levels will most certainly go up. Also get HbA1c% checked. That should be maintained <6.8 %, to say there is good control. I do not recommend any change of dosage. Thanks.

You should avoid anything sweet. No juices, instead have fruits, like apple, guava or pappaya. No oily or fried foods. Potato n rice intake should also be reduced. Try on cutting down on alcohol.
