To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1.Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2.Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a.Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B.Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C.If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D.Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E.Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F.You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Lybrate-user, hope you are depressed and full of anxiety disorder. Try to defend it by your positive thoughts. Time will solve, do not be suppressed, be bold and brave to go ahead. When you are going to br filled up with your mind with negative mind discard it saying I am potent and matters not good and burden to me. So and so it will turn into positive. Ok.

You take high calorie n high protein diet. Don't skip breakfast. With breakfast you drink 1 glass of milk n 2 anjeer n 2 almonds. Take 4-5 meals in a day in frequent intervals.

The best way to gain weight naturally is through good diet and exercise. For wt gain you must: 1. Take more of proteins like milk and milk products, pulses, soyabean and its products, eggs, chicken etc. 2. Carbohydrates rich diet with sufficient amount of fibre. 3. Intake of vitamins and minerals should be proper. 4. Intake of water should be 3-4 litres. 5. Take proper rest and sleep. 6. Avoid tensions. 7. Exercise is also very important along with a good diet. ****For proper guidance and to gain a healthy weight you must consult and take a proper diet chart so that you can get the nutrients in proper quantity and good quality.

In cervical spondylitis, there is a degeration of spine. Which results in these symptoms. Try taking physiotherapy for this. Regular neck exercises (isometrics and stretching) would also help.

Avoid those junk foods( namkeens, biscuit, burgers, pizzas ) and colas .Never skip breakfast . Your breakfast should be heavy -- boiled eggs, parantha with ghee, paneer sandwiches . You can have milkshakes and protein shakes, fruit juices. Have pulses , raita, roti , rice in lunch and veggies with roti in dinner. Have 6 small meals and don't drink water before meals. Eat in big plates. Slowly increase your intake of food. At night boil 4 chuaras in milk and have it. Sleep for at least 8 hrs. Remain stress free. Do pranayam. Eat green veggies, citrus fruits to increase your immunity.

1. Keep yourself hydrated. 2. Get extra rest for some days till you feel more energetic. 3. Avoid watching television for long hours. Indulge in relaxing activities. 4. Avoid stress and too much physical exertion. 5. Take a nutritious diet with more protein items in homemade food like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits. 6. Do light physical activity, meditation and yoga. 7. Take one good multivitamin tablet after food for 7 days.

For a footballer strength is very important. You need to increase your muscle strength by improving your protein intake. You need to follow a high protein diet. At least 4-5 pieces egg white. Because albumin is a protein what you need. Milk protein, fish/meat protein, nuts etc. Other then protein you need to hydrate yourself. Carbs is also very important source of energy. So a balance diet is important to follow.

My dat of birth is 27th May 1974.I.E. I am 41 years old Indian woman. My weight is nearly 95 kgs and my height is 5'2. I am overweight.And am suffering from anemia too. First of all focus on your diet and exercise to reduce your weight and start doing strengthening exercises for you knee and legs, otherwise it will lead to knee pain problems like arthritis.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help. Smoking will reduce chances of gaining weight. Quit smoking gradually.
