I used to play cricket daily, but when I came back home I became so tired, so what should I eat at that time to be fit to play cricket again?

1-2 hours before playing, have a glass of fruit based milkshake. Carry replenishing beverages like salted buttermilk, fruit juice or soya milk tetra pack for break in between. Make sure to have sips of water in between. Handful of nuts will give a good boost to your energy levels.

My mother aged 70 years suffering with knee pain from last 4 yrs. Her x-ray shows degenerative osteo-arthritis change in both knee joint. Presently she is taking tab. Diclogetic, panspeed-40, hemitrol kit, mavistin-250mg, joincerin & inj. Dm in both knee from last six months but pain & stuff in joint knee still persist. Her medical report as follows: hb-12.4, tc: 11, 800, esr-20, t3-1.32, t4-8.6, tsh-1.46, sub-5.27 I shall be thankful if you suggest some medicines for her treatment. Please provide suitable hospital with estimated cost for knee replacement, if it is required.

Most probably your mother is suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped centers in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to takey benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. She will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Dear lybrateuser, - You can use cumin seed as whole by cooking with food as with rice, dal potato, curry etc or its powder, about one tablespoon in the whole day is enough - you can use turmeric powder in preparing various food items as well as have it mixed with milk or powder, in the whole day can have one fourth teaspoon in a cup of milk 2-3 times - for iron you can have other sources of food items like nonveg, spinach, kale, guava, Jaggery & also if still deficient then a supplement.

Hi, you mean to say that after 12 months you are attacked with fever,now you are suffering from fever.Follow the below to get cured:- First of all you should take rest for 1-2 days so that your body can fight with underlying infection with its full immunity and start the below medication:- Take gelesemium 200, twice daily . Take Eupatrium perf 200, 5 drops thrice daily. Take Antifebrinum 3x, 2 tabs , thrice daily. Take Alfavena malt, 1 tsf, thrice daily. Drink lots of water and take light homemade food like dalia and khichdi, avoid oily, spicy, fried, junk and cold drinks. In case of high uncontrollable fever, don't panic you should do cold sponging to lower down the temperature.If fever does not goes then go for a set of blood tests. Revert me with feedback. Take care of your health.GOOD DAY.

Hello lybrate-user- night is meant for sleeping. Studying at night will disturb your sleep cycle and hence will make your brain weak, it will also ruin your eye power. So go to bed before 10 pm, wake up as early as possible if you want to study because in morning time the brain tissue is almost 95% active and has a higher capacity to memorize as compared to that of night hours. Moreover waking up early morning will also benefit your health and you can give your 100% in other fields in future too.

Dear Lybrateuser, -Your problem could be due to anxiety, stress & fear -do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 20-30 min -do yoga, deep breathing & meditation for 10-15 min daily as it will calm your mind -also divert your mind by reading, listening to music, following a hobby, try to sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, its the most important for reducing stress.

Hi..Include some form of proteins in your meal like milk and milk products.. vegetarian should have dhals while non vegetarian should include chicken..fish..and eggs in their meals.. *check your vitamine B12..D3 and iron levels and add a suppliments in case the levels are insufficient.. *keep a check on your thyroid as hypothyroidism can cause fatigue.. Reason is unhygienic food,junk food,bad climatic conditions...etc avoid tea.coffee.junk food.spicy food.fermented food.. walk for atleast 30 minutes a day... avoid alcohol consumption,smoking and non veg.. drink lots of juices and plenty of water... eat green vegetables and salads.... do pranayama early in the morning... sleep for atleast 7 hours...

Weakness is a result of lack of physical or muscle strength. If you are feeling that extra effort is required to move your arms, legs, or other muscles, it could also be a result of any disease, illness and too much activity at one time and not taking the food to match the amount of physical effort you are doing. Sometimes low levels of minerals (electrolytes), such as potassium or sodium also result in body weakness. Other important reason could be the problems with your thyroid gland. Because your thyroid gland is responsible for regulating the way the body uses energy. A low thyroid level can cause fatigue, weakness, laziness, weight gain etc. And a high thyroid level can cause fatigue, weight loss, muscle weakness etc. Sometime because of stress you may feel disinterest in your routine works. Since the reasons for your weakness are not known, I shall advise the following - 1. Keep yourself hydrated. 2. Get extra rest for some days till you feel more energetic. 3. Avoid watching television for long hours. Indulge in relaxing activities. 4. Avoid stress and too much physical exertion. 5. Take a nutritious diet with more protein items in homemade food like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits. 6. Do light physical activity, meditation and yoga. 7. Take one good multivitamin tablet after food for 7 days. The things that you can do to be physically fit are: 1. Start cardiovascular exercises like running, jogging, cycling etc. 2. Avoid carbohydrates and fats. 3. Avoid processed and junk foods. 4. Start exercising. Both body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats and weight training in the gym is helpful. 5. Stay hydrated. 6. Have a light dinner. 7. Evening walk is always recommended. 8. Green veggies complete your nutrient requirements. 9. Consume all types of protein both from veg and non veg sources. 10. Sleep well.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism along with your daily diet and exercise routine. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Weight gain is all about taking more calories than you burn. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. There is no one food that helps weight gain. Eat meals at frequent intervals. You need to eat at least 6 main and mid meals a day. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits, dry fruits, starchy vegetables, rice, bread, whole grain cereals, smoothies, masala milk, ghee, cream in your meals. Just eating sugary, sweet foods is not good. Try to have healthy deserts like kheer, chikki or lassi. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. It helps development of muscle mass and improves appetite.  Even if you were to take just medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation. You need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal and good exercise routine, it's crucial.
