Hello, Doctor I Wanna Ask You a question regarding the fate of success in the kidney transplantation? Is that also if our body cells accepts the kidney still it might fail to work?

If our body cells accept the kidney it can fail to work only in case of severe infection in the kidney.

If your child wets the bed at night, one needs to understand a couple of things. First and foremost, one needs to understand that there will be no benefit from blaming the child. He or she is not doing it on purpose. It is just that the child does not have enough control over the urinary bladder. Normally a child develops this control by the age of 4. In some cases, this may be delayed. This does not in any way mean that the child wets the bed deliberately. It is just that he or she is unable to control the muscles of the bladder. As a parent, you need to understand that. Also, make sure that the child does not take too much of liquids at night just before going to bed. Another thing that helps is that he or she urinates just before going to bed. Homeopathy is a very effective natural treatment for enuresis. The homeopathic remedies for bedwetting are perfectly safe. These natural homeopathic remedies do not have any side effects at all. Safety of the medicines is a major issue when you are to give any medicine to your child. Therefore it is of utmost importance that the medicines should be completely safe. Homeopathic remedies are known to be perfectly safe and have been tried by millions of patients all over the world over the last 2 centuries. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

How to prevent creatine rise level in urin for my wife who is 20 year old sugar patient taking 6 units insulin each morning.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
I recommend the following 1. Find out how much of protein she is losing in the urine. Protein in urine rises the creatinine. Tablets like ace/arb can reduce protein in urine 2. Avoid red meat 3. Avoid stressful exercises 4. Tab nephrosave twice daily has given good results in my patients 5. Most importantly make sure bp is within 130/70 at all times.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Well, you may require a few more investigations apart from the ones mentioned above. I would advise that you visit a neurologist who can clinically examine you and rule out any possibility of neuro-degenerative disorders that may have triggered a bladder dysfunction. Last but not the least, possibility of any sleep related disorders, especially sleep apnea, needs to be ruled out too. For the time being, however, you may follow certain simple disciplines like going to bed on time, not taking water just before you retire to bed, ensure that you do urinate once properly before you get to sleep. Also, adjust your room temperature, avoid making it too cold. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best.

It is not uncommon to have multiple problems. Such as in your case, if you have an irritable bowel, a gastroenterologist would address that. Vaginal pain may require a gynecology opinion. As for the stone disease, it is usually a lifestyle related disease and quite prone to recurrence. Hence you need to keep yourself well hydrated all life long to achieve a 24 hour urine output of atleast 2 litres. And get an ultrasound of the urinary system done every 6-12 monthly, to pick up any new stone arising. As for now, you may require to undergo a urological intervention again depending on the site of instruction of the 8 mm calculus.

5 Things You Should Know About Kidney Transplant

DNB (Medicine), MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
5 Things You Should Know About Kidney Transplant

A kidney transplant is a surgical procedure that patients of kidney disease go through in order to replace a non functioning kidney with a live one that is healthy and functions well. Other methods to treat this disease also include dialysis, which basically is an artificial way of doing what our kidneys are designed to do. When dialysis does not work, many doctors recommend a kidney transplant. A replacement or donated kidney can come from a living donor or a non-living donor. This new kidney will mostly work towards keeping the blood clean, which is a function that stops when the old and diseased kidneys fail.

So, here's a list of five essential facts that you need to keep in mind if you are looking at a kidney transplant:

  1. Donors: While there are living and non-living donors, the doctor will have to ensure that your donor is someone who has no medical history of complications, kidney disease or any other medical condition like diabetes or hypertension. Also, the donor would have to have two proper functioning kidneys. Further, one of the most important factors is the blood group. The blood group of the donor and the patient must match for the transplant to be possible.
  2. Procedure: During the surgery, the patient will be under general anesthesia. The surgeon will make an incision in the lower abdomen area and the blood vessels of the new kidney will be connected surgically with the vein and iliac artery of the patient. Thereafter, any excess fluid will be drained before wrapping up the surgery.
  3. Rejection: The patient's body may also reject the kidney. The immune system of the patient may mistake the new kidney as an attacking body and its natural defenses may work against it, which will lead to complications. For this, doctors usually prescribe immunosuppressant medicines that will help in preventing such an eventuality.
  4. Longevity: While a living donor's kidney may last longer, a non-living donor's kidney will not enjoy such a long life. In such cases, a second transplant can be conducted.
  5. Diet: After the transplant, the patient will be required to go through a number of measures like coughing to show that the lungs are clear, as well as administration of fluids and some amount of examination and dialysis. Also, the patient will have to have a special diet that includes raw fruits and vegetables, and plenty of non-fat dairy ingredients.

A kidney transplant is a major operation that can change your lifestyle in the long run.

Swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum and anus that cause discomfort and bleeding. Other factors that increase the risk for getting hemorrhoids include constipation, diarrhea, lifting heavy objects, poor posture, prolonged sitting, pregnancy, eating a diet low in fibre, anal intercourse, and being overweight. Liver damage and some food allergies can also add stress to the rectal veins. People who consistently eat a high-fiber diet are less likely to get hemorrhoids, while those people who prefer a diet high in processed foods are at higher risk. A low-fiber diet or inadequate fluid intake can cause constipation, which can contribute to hemorrhoids in two ways: it promotes straining on the toilet people do not consider homeopathy medicine for piles at its early stages and this is one of the reason why they end up under a surgeon's knife.
