What will be better to sleep with or without pillow I have low neck pain on beck of neck and left side.
You should use a pillow. While sleeping on your side, you should bridge the gap between neck and shoulder, use pillow with adequate height, so that neck and upper back are in the same alignment.

Dear Dr. My wife got severe pain in right leg and consulted neurologist and an orthopaedic, further to doctors advise we took an xray and couldn't find any thing wrong. So again done an mri and is diagnosed with 1. Partial tear of anterior cruciate ligament near its femoral attachment with buckling of posterior cruciate ligament with grade 1 intra substance signal changes. 2.oblique tear of posterior horn and body of lateral meniscus. 3.partial tear of lateral collateral ligament near its femoral attachment noted. All other observations is noted as normal This started approx 4 months back. Only thing we remember is she fell down from scooter a month before this pain started. This pain is not there always. 1. When the leg is stretched back 2.when exposed to cold environment like ac 3.when standing for long time 4.sometimes end of day say after 7 a mild pain. We are going to meet Orthopedician next week. Out of tension. Ia this a serious issue need to worry about. Any cure avlbe.
It's really surprising that so far no one has referred for physiotherapy. Kindly visit a physiotherapy clinic and ask for wax bath, IFT for knee joint, pelvic mobility exercises, active assisted knee range if motion exercises, calf muscle self stretching, hip flexor self stretching, ankle range of motion exercises. You should buy a neoprene hinged knee brace and ask her to wear it during standing and walking. Continue this treatment for two weeks. Apply hot and ice packs alternatively at home for 5 minutes each.

Hi, Recently my elbow was dislocated due to fall no fracture were seen on X ray. Now after treatment it is ok but I am unable to bend fully and stretch fully my arm. Now please tell me what to do now.

This is post traumatic stiffness. Proceed with physiotherapy and strech beyond routine range of movement. Ideally elbow is immobilised for 4-6 weeks post dislocation, I hope you have done that. Medications like etova mr, Enzomac and Tendocare will help. Hot water compression will help. Avoid massage, traumatic manipulation.

Dear lybrate-user It's good to share your concern about your health problem. You've mentioned about back pain and also shared your MRI report. There are various reasons of back pain, trigger cause, maintaining cause, etc. Radiological report is only meant to see the gross damage in neural spine, when the treatment is not result oriented. And also there are various treatments which may give you relief, but for complete treatment. I would suggest you to share details of your case in personal consultation for better understanding and management. You should give complete details like your age, gender, weight, height, symptoms details, pain pattern and modalities.

Simple Knee ExerciesSpecific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee pain more than 2 weeks:if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation.
