I met Dr Sushma Jaiswal ( my name sake) by chance and was taken in by her youth, vivacity and positive attitude. I booked an appointment with her and consulted her for my sleeplessness. Her advice proved very beneficial to me. What I liked best about her was that she treats a problem in a holistic way. She not only prescribed me supplements but also asked me to make minor changes in my diet which would take care of my body in the long run. Thank you doc.

Ms Sushma gave me a nutrition course after my Chemo & Radiation therapy as I had cancer 2nd time within few years. This time I affected my tongue, as a result I don't get taste and can not eat everything. She suggested me the right kind of diet and combinations of supplements to fulfil my body's requirements. According to the preconceived notion, drinking alcohol is harmful to the body. It is partly true. Drinking alcohol is harmful to the body, but only in huge proportions. In fact, despite popular belief, drinking alcohol is also good for health.

Here are 8 alcohols that are secretly keeping you healthy:

  1. Beer: The most common alcoholic drink, beer is loaded with antioxidants called phenols. This protects you against suffering from heart diseases. Beer also lowers the risk of acquiring high blood pressure and helps maintaining it.
  2. Red Wine: Apart from being a classy drink and having the same benefits of beer, the additional brownie points of red wine is that it helps in increasing life span by generating longevity genes. It also increases good cholesterol and reduces bad cholesterol in the body.

Yes it is ok but without honey. To loose with heathy food like eat every 2-3 hours in moderate amounts, a combination of more fibre, whole grains, sprouts, legumes, salads, 3-4 cups green tea, 1 fist dry fruits to have virgin fats, no to aerated & sugary beverages, junk foods, fast foods etc. And exercise for 45 min including yoga especially kapal bharti - 15 min every day. Do you have other symptoms like tiredness, back pain, headache or as simple as hair fall? this people have very less muscles which is directly proportional to their protein intake. Generally they have lot of nutritional deficiencies, so first goal should be to deal with the nutrient deficit. To gain weight in healthy way, consume balanced diet with more protein rich foods to build muscles. Since your weight is less, the amount of protein you have to take is 1 to 1.25 gm protein / kg of ideal weight. You have to take supplements my dear, you can not get all the nutrients from food now. Soil has become very poor and missing in many nutrients. You can include sprouts, full cream milk & milk products, cheese, paneer frequently, peanut butter etc in your diet. For customised diet plan many things should be considered including dealing with the deficiencies with food supplements - as diet is missing so many important nutrients.
