Obesity is a common nutritional disorder that has resulted into stress among people of all age groups. The mushrooming of slimming centers, weight loss pills and diet plans in the recent past are all pointers of how people are disturbed by obesity. The condition results from excess accumulation of fats in the body as a result of excess intake of food. When you take an excess of 50 calories in a day, you are said to increase weight by 25 kgs within a ten-year period. Homeopathic Medicines

For many years now, homeopathy has been used as a mode of treatment for obesity across many countries in the world. The mode of treatment usually is constitutional and needs a detailed case history of the patient and evaluation so that the best remedy can be selected...

  1. Calcarea Carbonica is a homeopathic medicine that is administered when a patient has excess fat in their abdomen. The constitutional symptoms are profuse perspirations on the head, low tolerance for cold air and strange cravings like desire to eat chalk.

To start with avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Hi I am going to be 40 in another 2 months. 3 Years Post Delivery 70 kg. C section done. I'm hypothyroid on 200micro gram of eltroxin. I don't exercise regularly but weekly 3 days I do either 1 hour yoga or 5 km walking now going to start swimming. Help me lose weight. When I was 25 years before marriage was only 40 kg. Hello lybrate-user We are providing you with some tips which you can follow n get good results- 1.Eat a fruit with in 10 minutes of waking up. 2. Eat every 2-3 hours ,concept is eat small but frequently. Now about what to eat - which is the most important part of dieting. Keeping in mind that your calorie intake should be lower than your calorie expenditure, you can bank upon fruits, vegetables, milk n milk products (yogurt, curd, cottage cheese, dry fruit, legumes n pulses, eggs (white portion) n lean meat. These are high in protein n low on calorie counts n these makes you feel full for long so can manage your calorie intake n reduce weight. 3. With protein diet Include some Aerobic n anaerobic exercise in your schedule. 4. While managing meals, try to fill yourself with fruits n veggies in the form of smoothies n soups, as these are low on calories n high on vitamins n minerals n fibre which will make you feel full for long. You need to change your food habits gradually and aim for long term weight loss. 1. Aim for long term weight loss @ 2-3 Kg per month = 12-15 kgs in 6 months. So on. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits to your daily diet before meals. Double your water intake. 3. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/ Colas/Juices from your diet. 4. Completely eliminate Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice/Biryani etc 5. Eat slowly and mindfully. Reduce portion size. 6. Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. This will keep you toned and trim. 7. Love yourself and respect your body. 8. For a customised plan, you can consult me privately.

Belly fat is central obesity. You can eat brown rice instead of polished rice. Make sure you include nuts and seeds in your diet. Have legumes everyday if possible.
