Hi This normally happens when a person is usually working in a closed atmosphere for a long time (spending long hrs in AC). Lack of sunlight is the reason. Let him walk in early morning sunlight before 8 am. Also vitamin D sachets r available. Kindly consult your physician and start taking it. Thank you.

Hi it will be better to increase calcium in her diet. She can eat raagi (also known as naachni) til seeds, curd etc to increase calcium in diet. Powder or tablet can be decided better by doctor since when he will see the patient he can decide. Thank you.

You can increase intake of dal eggs fish soyabean almonds walnuts in your diet a gap of 3 years is recommended so that your body can make up for the vitamin and mineral losses.

Hi if you don't hv any physical problem like tiredness or fatigue then you don't really need to gain weight. But if you want to gain weight then focus on building muscle mass, which can be done by adding protein in your diet. Hv more of eggs, meat, soybeans, sprouts, rajma, milk, cheese and paneer. By doing this you ll gain healthy weight.

Tea should not be taken immediately before or after meals as it inhibits calcium absorption. Hv it in evening having tea in morning can cause acidity. However you can hv green tea at anytime of d day.

Hi, firstly cut down on all refined foods like sugar bakery items fast foods etc. Next eat every 2 hrs break your meals into parts don't eat at once eat slowly chew your food properly diet plan: meal 1 green tea, followed by 1 tsp flax seed pwd with water meal 2 upma/idli/sprouts vt chapati/oats any of d following + a cup of low fat milk or dahi meal 3 fruit (a plate) apple/sweet lime/papaya/orange/pineapple meal 4 salad+dal+sabji+chapati meal 5 green tea meal 6 roasted peanuts (30gms) meal 7 100 ml milk (flavored or plain as you like) meal 8 salad+soup these meals are to be eaten at 2 hourly interval d last meal is very light on your stomach n will help to stay full for long. In case you face a problem please revert.

Hi horlicks/boost/bournvita etc are designed to provide additional nutrients to growing children since kids r fussy about their food. But if you eat all vegs cooked by mummy you will not really need any external thing to replenish your nutrients. Have cheese/paneer/milk/dahi everyday if you eat non veg have fish or chicken, preferably grilled. Avoid pizza, burger/noodles and any instant foods. Eat fresh fruits n salads everyday atleast have 2-3 fruits n salad with each meal. If you can eat multigrain chapati.

Green tea is unfermented tea. The regular black tea leaves are dried n kept for fermentation which gives it its characteristic color n flavor green tea is rich in antioxidants which are important to reduce free molecules, main cause of cancer, also it is known to boost metabolic rate, d rate at which body burns calories at rest, thereby stimulating weight loss. You can hv 3-4 cups of green tea everyday instead of regular tea. Please remember pour boiling water over green tea leaves n cover n let it stand for a while n then strain n drink it. This way you get maximum flavor n needed nutrients.

I am a 36 yr old male. I am non vegeterian. My height is 5ft 7 inch and weight is around 68 kgs which comes under ideal bmi. I exercise regularly and have no bad habits like drinking, smoking. I am quite diet conscious and do not binge on fatty products / cold drinks / snacks etc. However, I do like to eat out and try good dishes preferably non veg. Hi select lean cuts of meat prefer grilled, barbequed or baked meats. To reduce fat on belly:- avoid dinner after 8 pm don't hv rice for dinner you can take soup n grilled chicken/fish for dinner. Let me know your progress.

Hi the first thing is that you need to change your eating habits. That can be done with d help of counselling next step is adding a activity like walking/swimming/cycling, basically something that you ll enjoy plus it will burn d unwanted fat too. To begin with break down your major meals (breakfast, lunch n dinner) into 6 small meals so you can eat every 2-3 hrs. Avoid all fried, packaged, precooked, bakery items.
