I'm a 24 year old male suffering from OCD. 3 months back I took Ativan for only a week. This has caused me massive weight gain. How to remove this weight gain. I work out hard daily and my diet is also drawn to a minimal level but still the extra weight has not gone. Is there any med for removing this weight?

Dear lybrate-user, just one week of ativan can not cause so much increase of weight. It might be due to your ocd itself or depression due to ocd or any other medical or hormonal illness. You are youg you can reduce weight with diet and exercise itslef. Consult a dietician often and go ahead methodically. There are drugs to reduce weight. There are operations like bariatric surgery to reduce weight. They come at a later stage with proper diagnosis and work up.
