Dear lybrate-user post rct you can immediately go for work. Its a procedure carried out under local anesthesia so during the procedure you would feel numb around that tooth area and later for 1-2 hours you would continue to feel numb (depending upon the dosage given). Regards

There is no need for rest after a root canal treatment, but few people undergo weakness just after it. This is nothing but due to keeping same posture for a bit longer time and a light kept over your head. No worries for this but you should know about it. If this happens, sit on a chair there only at the clinic for 10-15 mins and then stand and try to walk, you will feel fine within this time.
