Hello Dr. My daughter is 5 years old. She got urinary tract infection level 4 and Dr. suggested to give 5 ml of sporidex125 syrup daily for a year. Is it safe to give for so long duration?

Dear User, it will not be necessary to give it for a year. Once the UTI has subsided, then it can be stopped. However she will have to get a urine routine and culture after 3 months to assess the level of infection. If it has completely reduced, then she can stop taking the medication.
