Hi doctors I have diagnosed gerd before 4 months. Initially I have chest pain and difficulty breathing but no heart burn. I have taken medicine for 4 months. Now I having only heart burn daily for several hours. I am afraid for formation of barrett's esophagus. I am following diet like foods to avoid tea coffee spicy foods and citrus fruits but I have still heart burn. They is no pain throat and no food coming back to mouth. If heart burn occurs sometimes mild to moderate daily activities morning playing badminton evening walking medicine currently taking gaviscon syrup morning after food.
