Sir please advice me that what is the symptoms that rct should be done or normal filling without rct. If there is no pain in molar teeth but a hole and black colour inside the hole, then rct is necessary or simply filling is needed?

Hello, first of all pain is not the only criteria to conclude weather a filling or a root canal is required in the tooth, Sometimes you might have pain and still the tooth require just the filling and sometimes you dont have pain but tooth will go for root canal. So X-ray is required for that tooth based on which the extent of decay can be seen if the decay have reached the centre sensitive part that is pulp it will go for root canal but if there is sound tooth structure between the decay and pulp it can be filled.
