I have cold and cough problem from almost 2 months. After examining chest X-ray, esr, CBP, general physician said that I have allergic bronchitis. Taking the tablets and syrup from past 10 mins. Only 60 % of cough cured. Still getting cough. Please advice me the best medicine like inhalers which I used 2 years ago which worked in just a week. I forgot the name of inhaler. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I can understand your concern. Allergic bronchitis requires proper diagnosis and follow up. It does not respond to syrups and tablets. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and pft (pulmonary function test). Pft is needed for the diagnosis of bronchitis. It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ics). Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
