Is a palpable lump in the side a symptom of colon cancer? Or is it only found as a polyp inside and can not be felt?

Intra-abdominal lumps are usually difficult to feel by individuals themselves unless they become quite big. But big lumps will also have some symptoms so it may be something else if you do not have any symptoms. Colon cancers present as altered bowel habits or indigestion. There can be frank bleeding or occult blood in stool picked up by stool microscopic examination. Serum cea levels can be checked in suspicious cases along with stool test and further colonoscopic examination will help in diagnosis. You can meet a gastroenterologist if any abdominal symptoms you feel.
