I have varicose veins in legs and had undergone laser surgery. Thereafter had thrombosis in two times in last 4 years. Second time it was in Jan 2018. Now doctor advises to take acitrom medicine for life long. I need to know is there any alternative to it. Also what are side effects of taking this medicine for long.

There are alternative medicines, but they also need to be taken life long. You need to mantain INR around 2.5. If INR is mantained, no harmful effects, otherwise bleeding can occur.
