I'm diagnosed with pcos and prediabetes. My doctor prescribed me to take metformin Sr 500 mg for 1 years to be taken after dinner with other vitamin supplements. I have amenorrhoea and get periods only after taking birth control pills. My doctor told metformin regularise the period after 40 days. So do I need to take metformin forever and what happens If I stop taking metformin after getting regular periods?
