I have been prescribed to take Triquilar 21 from the 5th day of my menstrual cycle as a birth control contraceptive. But most doctors say that if the pill is not taken from the 1st day of the cycle, it may not be effective? What shall I do in such a case? Shall I start taking the pill from the 1st day of my cycle, or shall I follow my gynae's prescription and take it on the 5th day? Also, do I need to use a 2nd preventive measure (condom) for the first week of my cycle if I start the pill on my 5th day?
