I am 62 years old. One year when I underwent medical check up a stone of about 5 mm was detected in gallbladder in sonography test. So far I am not experiencing any pain or any difficulty in urinating etc. Is it required to remove the stone by surgery or it can remain there. Any harm in keeping it.

Gallstones need no surgery unless you have any symptoms so need'nt worry about it.
