Hi lybrate-user, Cataract surgery is one of the most successful operations we have, but it does not always help, especially if the cataracts were mild. At times, there is some other reasons for poor vision, like macular degeneration, that could not be appreciated before the surgery. The cataractous lens was removed and replaced with a plastic artificial lens. Although this lens can be replaced if it is the incorrect power, there is a risk involved in another surgery. If it is only the power that is off, the vision should be correctable with glasses. If it is not, there is another reason for the poor vision.
