I am 75 years old. My body structure is slim type. I eat normally during the day but at night eat very less. In the mornings I do some freehand exercises. I also do some breathing exercises . Weight fluctuation can be due to following reasons: -stress -change in diet -illness -change in weather -water intake also, if you change your weighing scale, it can show a wrong weight depending on the settings of the machine.

To gain weight, eat at regular fixed time. Secondly, make a combination of dates (khajoor)+ amla+ pomegranate+ dry grapes (kishmish) -2 tsp two times a day. You can add a little sugar if needed increase intake of soyabean in your diet make a milk - warm milk 1glass+ 2 tsp ashwagandha powder+sugar. Drink at night after dinner daily. Do these for 1-2 months.

According to your height your ideal weight should be 50 kg. So you have to reduce 16 kg. Exercise alone is not sufficient you have to take care of your diet. Here are some diet tips 1. Eat high fibre food avoids eating food in simple sugar form 2. Eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 3. Try to avoid deep fried food and oil containing food. Control your fat consumption in your routine diet 4. Avoid bakery products, sweets. 5. Have plenty of water at least 3 lt/day 6. At least half hour walk/day. All are common things but for definite result you need individual diet and exercise schedule.
