Hi take ginger tea mixed with 2-3 crushed garlic cloves. Massaging the chest with warm sesame oil mixed with salt helps to loosen the phlegm deposited in the chest, especially, when followed with steam inhalation. Take shwas kuthar ras twice a day. Dear, kindly do an allergy skin test and start on oral allergy drops under guidance of allergy specialist. Find out the triggers and try to control it. Stop smoking. Do not use mosquito coils /liquid. For good control try inhaler with spacer using both prevent ers and releivers regularly on daily basis. Thankyou.

Perfect treatment of Asthma allergy.

BHMS
Allergist/Immunologist, Jaipur

Asthma, a condition often labeled as incurable and chronic can be cured if treated with Homeopathic medicines. Cases of recent origin and those affecting children have shown encouraging curative results and chronic, advanced cases experience noticeable reduction in the intensity and reoccurrence of the attacks.
If you are heavily dependant on bronchodilators or inhalers Homeopathic treatment will help you fight the precipitating factors (allergen), thereby making you less dependant on those medications.
Conditions such as poor resistance to climatic changes, recurrent colds / sinusitis and atopic dermatitis (skin affection) can be effectively cured during the course of the treatment.

How do we achieve this?

A holistic or a constitutional approach in which a remedy capable of influencing the following factors is prescribed:

Person’s family history (genetic predisposition)
Personal health history (sensitivity to allergens)
Body type (obesity and immune status)
Present status of all physical symptoms (intensity & frequency of the asthma attacks)
Any emotional aggravating factor

This individualistic approach helps in overall improvement of the condition and relieves any other condition associated with asthma.

What medicine can we have for snake bite in our home, for using after sudden bite or any natural remedies available?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
No home remedy for snake bite .Do first aid and take to hospital . The aim of first aid is to retard the systemic absorption of venom and prevent life-threatening complications by prompt transport to a medical facility. First aid can be performed by victim himself/herself or by any person who happens to be nearby. Traditionally, first aid included making local incisions or “tattooing” at the site of the bite, attempts at suctioning venom out of the wound, use of tight bands (tourniquets) around the limb, and/or local application of ice packs. None of the traditional remedies have any proven medical benefit. They should be discouraged as they do more harm than good and delay transport to a medical facility. Incision, suction, electric shocks, cryotherapy, or washing the wound are contraindicated as any interference with the wound introduces infection, increases bleeding from the site, and hastens absorption of the venom. The current guidelines for first aid include the following: 1. Reassure the victim (70% of all snakebites are by nonvenomous snakes and 50% of bites by venomous species are dry bites 2. Immobilize the affected limb (by bandage or clothes to hold splint, but tight arterial compression is not recommended) 3. Promptly transfer of victim to hospital

DAA, DNB

Hi. I understand your concerns. You will require a detailed examination and undergo pulmonary function test. It is necessary for the diagnosis and to assess the severity of asthma. Based on severity of asthma treatment needs to be tailored. You will benefit from inhalers. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to lybrate, going cautiously through your concern, I guess that you might be having dry mucosa inside considering the fact that you have undergone surgery 3 months back. Anyway, direct examination by your surgeon will be better for diagnosis. I would prefer: (1) solspre nasal spray. To douch the nostril thrice daily for 14 days thanks.

Seasonal Allergies - 6 Natural Remedies That Help you Manage them

Seasonal Allergies - 6 Natural Remedies That Help you Manage them

Seasonal allergies are usually characterized by sneezing, coughing and other allergic reactions. Also known as hay fever and allergic rhinitis, the condition tends to appear only during certain seasons of the year. The disease is triggered by changes in the weather and exposure to certain allergens like dust. The allergens cause the body to release histamine into the blood thus, resulting in symptoms of allergy.

The symptoms of seasonal allergy are:

  1. Coughing
  2. Sneezing
  3. Congestion in the nose
  4. You may experience a blocked and runny nose
  5. You may have an itchy nose

Ayurveda is a holistic method of treatment that focuses on improving your overall well-being. The various Ayurvedic remedies for treating seasonal allergies are:

  1. Restrict Dairy Intake: You need to cut dairy out of your diet as dairy products have all the characteristics of a cold food. They tend to create imbalance in the “kapha” dosha in the body, thus leading to various diseases.
  2. Ayurvedic Detox: Consider doing an Ayurvedic detoxification to cleanse the body of the various toxins. It helps in smoothing out the “dosha” balance and hence improves your overall well-being.
  3. Nasya: This process requires you to put drops of medicated oils inside your nostrils. This lubricates the nasal cavity and prevents the allergens from causing an allergic reaction in the body.
  4. Eat More Warm Foods: Try to eat warm and cooked foods as much as possible. Eating frozen foods is not recommended as the nutrients from the food may not be absorbed properly owing to a weak digestive system which may be the result of a bout of severe seasonal allergies. Include foods such as soups and porridge and you have a perfect dish to gorge on.
  5. Exercise on a Regular Basis: Make sure you exercise on a regular basis to improve your fitness levels and also to keep a check on your weight. Certain “yoga” poses such as the downward dog and the cobra help to improve the digestive process. Add cardio workouts such as running and swimming to improve the health of the lungs.
  6. Add Spices: Add spices to your cooking such as turmeric or garlic as they help in rejuvenating the respiratory system.
