I an 42 years old female. I have two boys one 15 years old and one 10 years. Both the deliveries were c section. I am suffering from lower back ache since the birth of my first child and I have this belief that my anesthetic had injected me on my lower back, due to which I am having this pain. Hello , unfortunately it is true, most of the times this pain remains there, and you are not the only one complaining of it. That is why c section is not preferred except when complication are there. Regards

I am suffering from hair fall. I am using head and shoulder damage therapy. Pls suggest me to how to stop this.
Hair fall cannot be cured completely with any shampoo or creams which will give temporary relief. You need to go for the treatment of the cause with homoeopathic method.

Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Sciatic pain, pain in knees and back and sever pain in legs. Wat to do? Please suggest medicine for complete cure.
You would require a detailed physical examination and thereafter investigations. Cause of knee pain need to be assessed by a rheumatologist. Sciatic pain can radiate to back of thighs and legs. But diagnosis of sciatica also needs to be confirmed by a doctor.

Old Age - How It Impacts Your Muscles & Bones?

If you are the on the wrong side of your fifties, then you will know the importance of regular checkups to the orthopedist. Aging related physical changes such as greying hair and wrinkles are a few things that you can cope with easily, however, when it comes to the health of your bones and muscles, you need to be very careful. You need to be particular about being active, as it can help reverse or reduce the risks of most of the bone disorders that you may suffer from. Ageing affects both the muscles and bones, but not always in the same manner. So, it is important that you understand how each is affected by ageing.

Changes in your muscles due to aging
As you age, your muscles tend to lose strength and size. This can make you prone to fatigue, weakness and a decrease in your tolerance levels to exercise. The various factors that play a role in this are:

  1. Modifications in your nervous system can impair the ability of the muscle to contract.
  2. The muscle fibers in the body reduce both in size and number.
  3. The replacement rate of the muscle tissue in the body falls.

Changes in your bones due to aging
Ageing impacts the structure of the bone and leads to a loss of the bone tissue. Aging causes low bone mass, thus rendering them weak. This means a simple fall can have a serious effect on your bones.
The various causes that can bring about these changes are:

  1. Loss of vital minerals such as calcium
  2. Being physically inactive
  3. Undergoing hormonal changes in the body such as menopause, wherein the body loses minerals from the bone tissues. In case of men, progressive decline of sex hormones can lead to changes in the bone structure.

Common conditions that affect your musculoskeletal system in your old age:

  1. Osteoporosis: This disorder results from a loss of bone density resulting in fragile bones. This makes the bones highly susceptible to fractures and breakage.
  2. Rheumatoid arthritis: An autoimmune disorder that usually develops after the age of 40; here, the immune system of the body attacks the body tissues, thus leading to inflammation in your joints.
  3. Osteoarthritis: It is a disorder of the joints which is caused by deterioration of the cartilage that cushions the joints.

Hye, Thanks for the query. The anabolic steroids abused by many are synthetic versions of testosterone, a male hormone. Both men and women naturally produce testosterone. But like all hormones -- which regulate the body's most basic functions -- throwing one's testosterone out of balance can have wide-ranging consequences. Anabolic steroids have many side effects because testosterone, which they mimic, has many effects in the body. The long list if side effects from anabolic steroids include: Shrinking of testicles, breast enlargement (gynecomastia), low sperm count, increased hair growth, deeper voice and reduced breast size in women, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, high cholesterol, rage, violence and aggression. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.
