Physiotherapy is the solution. She has to avoid forward bending, weight lifting and jogging, running probably 6 weeks. She should have some sessions of physiotherapy and then she need to do exercises to strengthen her back muscle. It will take probably around 3 months to be absolutely all right. She will not have any functional restrictions.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform

My left knee is paining. I had a fall frm bike 1.5 years back. Now it pains wen m either sitting on ground or on chair. Wen I straighten it makes take sound. It used to pain alot especially in the evenings. Den I started wid vitamin d3 tablets and its considerably fine. Bt still pains.

Pain in your knee could be due to an injured ligament. Joint pains are not related to vitamin D deficiency. If the pain is severe, get MRI of knee done to assess the underlying problem.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Hi, I am 45 years old, male person. Earlier, 1 year back- I have slipped disk issue. Still now a days while lifting some weight or climbing stairs, I fell the back pain. To keep myself fit as a routine every day I do a 30 minutes small running types exercise. I am 23 year old cricket player, a bowler and I have the problem that I can't throw more than 2 overs with same potential continuously and even I can't throw a ball more than 3 times with my full strength as my hand starts paining in the elbow joint on the flat side not on the pointed elbow.

You need to work on your rotator cuff musculature. Usually strengthening and stretching of the cuff and muscles around the shoulder helps. Once the endurance builds you wil not be experiencing any difficulty in throwing. Though thorough evaluation of shoulder and elbow is needed. I would recommend a visit to a sports physiotherapist nearby.

Hello physiotherapy is the best treatment for this condition. Please send me all investigation reports if available. I can help you by providing correct ergonomic and physiotherapeutic tips. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid weight bearing activities. 4. Use hot fomentation for 10 mins. 5. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 6. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 7. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. Thanks. Wish you happy and pain free life.

Hello, your problem is may be due to following reasons- 1. Overweight, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, or lack of water content in the body, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, 5. Arthritis etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I can explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques, if interested. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.
