I am having a back pain from last three days. Today I went for the X-ray and found in the report they lumbar lordosis...
Loss of lumbar lordosis indicates spasm. Spasm can be due to mechanical factors or PIVD. Conditions needs evaluation with X-rays or MRI. You can try: 1. Hot water compression thrice daily for 1 week. 2. Spine extension exercises. 3. Rest for 5 days. 4. Medications like Myoril, Etova MR, Enzomac and Neurokind LC will help.

Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.

My daughter aged 20 years old suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since two years. She is feeling stiffness & acute pain in joints of hands & legs. Can we give massage or malish to her on her hands & legs?

Hello, you can but it will not help her. It is better to consult a good rheumatologist as it will require a long term supervised care.

Homeopathic Treatment for Pain in the Joints

Pain in the joints continues to bug mankind till this very day. There are different types of joint pains, which might occur all of a sudden, with no signs of receding. The most common of them all are arthritis, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, back pain and repetitive muscular strain. These joint pains are sometimes impossible to diagnose properly by the regular modes of diagnosis. In those cases, resorting to the homeopathic mode of medication might be a good idea as it is a medication based on treating the actual cause of the disease and sustained use might result in complete remission of the pain.

Some commonly used homeopathic medications for pain in the joints are as follows:

  1. Rhus Tox: This is the most commonly used in homeopathic preparation for severe joint pains, the symptoms of which include severe pain after relaxation, pain triggered by slightly wet weather and pain after walking or running for a long time.
  2. Arnica Montana: When the symptoms are pain in every joint of the body resulting in body aches and pertaining injuries due to accidents, Arnica Montana serves as the perfect medication.
  3. Actea Spicata: This medicine is primarily used as a remedy for pains in the small joints of the hands. The symptoms for which the medication can be implemented are rheumatoid arthritis in the joints of the finger and swollen wrists after usage of the hand.
  4. Colchium: This medicine can be used in case of Rheumatoid Arthritis (inflammatory and chronic form of arthritis).
  5. Bryonia Alba: This medication can work wonders if the symptoms include severe pain in the knee joints while walking, severe swollen joints and osteoarthritis (affects the flexible tissues present at the bone ends).

However, it is always advisable to take medication as prescribed by your doctor, as the potency and frequency can only be decided by your doctor.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. For me to answer we will have to first find out whether these symptoms are due to lower back region where some compression of nerves can be a cause or it is due to your long standing diabetes. Actually I will need a: - detailed neurological charting of lower limbs including motor and sensory examination of you lower limbs which can be done by a physical therapist - mri ls spine if you have chronic back pain issues. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Dear Mr. Lybrate-user. This may have happened because of high blood pressure. A brain haemorrhage must have occurred. The blood inside the brain has created a clot (infarct). Which may have caused this paralysis attack. Take homeopathic medicine lachesis 1m and arnica 1m (along with the allopathic medicine advised in the hospital. Two times daily for a week as a emergency medicine and then consult further for complete recovery.
