Your tongue ulcer should be cured first as the ear pain is mainly a referred pain from the oropharynx.

Of all the possible holistic or alternative treatments available, Chronic Sinusitis stands the best chance of being cured by Homeopathy. The Homeopathic treatment of sinusitis is far superior as it does not resort to any strong medicines or antibiotics. The homeopathic medicine for sinusitis is mild and has the additional benefit that it does not cause any side effect at all. In fact, it strengthens the immunity of the patient and helps in fighting other infections also. Consult for homeopathic treatment with zero side-effects.

Hi My hearing capacity has reduced after a truck tyre burst near me. Ent specialist told that there is water & diaphragm are very close. May have to operate for inserting tube. What to do?

MS - ENT, DNB (ENT)
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Delhi
Kindly get an audiogram and tympanogram test done - this will demonstrate the presence or absence of fluid in your middle ear. Though surgery is sometimes recommended for ear fluid it is not always necessary. It depends from case to case.

I am suffering from cough and cold from last 3 days and now my ear is also blocked, I can't hear properly What would I do for my ear?

MBBS, MS - ENT
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Ahmedabad
It is likely that fluid of cold is collected behind your eardrum. You need to consult an ent surgeon at the earliest to treat it. Because early treatment increases chances of cure with medicines. Later you start treatment more the chance of a minor surgery to remove fluid behind eardrum. By the time you visit ent surgeon the antihistamines and decongestants for cough and cold. Take steam inhalation twice a day. Do not blow your nose forcefully.

I have ear pain and discharge. I think it's middle ear problem. Day by day it will increase. What is the problem? How it's treat?

MS - ENT,MBBS
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Kolkata
Hi If you have never experienced  this problem, then you need to start  *an antibiotic  immediately.  *A decongestant  medicine *Avoid water entry in the ear. *Avoid shampooing for atleast 10 days till the ear discharge dries up. *Get a Pure tone audiometry and tympanometry done. These tests can detect ear drum perforation. Otoendoscopy  may also be done Ear discharge may occur due to acute or chronic otitis media. Your symptoms  appear to be of Acute otitis media. In this case ear discharge occurs after a small perforation  in the ear drum due to pus buildup.  But if you have had the problem previously  too it may be due to Chronic otitis media. In that case you have to also start an ear drop and may need surgery.

Hi, haemoglobin of 10.9 may not be the cause for giddiness and since you are already on treatment for thyroid, I suspect it may be some other cause.

Sir, My age is 18 years. I have suffer from problem since 3 months the symptoms is breathing problem all time, burning sensation in throat, difficult in yawing (opening in mouth also) feeling of something stuck in throat, balance problem also. This symptoms occur every day is this normal or serious and also treatable. I checked this problem from physician but he gave me antacids tablets but the condition is not till now. Please say what I can do?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, Your physician has given you the right medicine, i.e. For acidity. It seems to be because of that only. Stomach acids are necessary for the digestion of food. However, if too much acid develops in the stomach, it can cause acid reflux (heartburn) or a disease called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Obesity, pregnancy, and other medical conditions can also lead to increased stomach acid. Management: - Avoid fried, fatty, spicy food, chocolates, tomatoes and citrus fruits. - Eat smaller, more frequent meals. - Give your digestive system an assist from gravity by not eating too close to bedtime. Wait at least 3 hours after eating before you lie down. - Lose excess weight. - Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages. - Stop smoking. Smoking interferes with digestion and can damage the lining of the esophagus. - Wear loose fitting clothes. Tight waistbands compress the internal organs and may block digestion. - Raise the head of your bed 4 or 5 inches higher than the foot. - Get enough sleep. Try sleeping on your left side. - Avoid stretching or bending after meals. - Chewing your food thoroughly makes it easier to swallow and digest, thus reducing or preventing symptoms of heartburn. - Drink plenty of water. Water has a neutral pH, which can help neutralize stomach acids and help your body absorb nutrients easily. Medication: Take Homoeopathic medicine – Natrum Phos. 6X/ thrice daily 1/2 an hour after the meals. Revert.

You have wax in your ears, and this needs to be cleaned, otherwise pain will recur, and never clean your ears yourself, go to specialist toavoid trauma to your ear drum.

1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed.
