The hardness of your organ and excited state for your sexual act is all under the control of your mind. Your thoughts control it. If you become too excited - you will ejaculate and if you get less excited - you will never achieve arousal and hardness. Prolongation of sexual act is a mind game - rather than mechanical issue of the organ.

Hi Can vitamim c pills 500mg be taken both morning and evening everyday? any side effects. Please reply.

MBBS, DGO (cal)
General Physician,
Hypervitaminosis is a term to denote excess of any vitamin in our body. 500 mg x twice of vit c - shall not produce any symptom of excess vitamin c. My basic question is why you want to take that amount of vit c daily? what is your purpose. Our requirement of vit c is maximum 125 mg daily. It comes through natural food which is not boiled. Vit c is heat labile, destroyed at 57 degree centigrade.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns, Premature ejaculation is one of the most common sexual dysfunction in men, However very few ever Talk about it due to embarrassments. The ability to finish early and quickly can be advantageous in many areas in life, but not when it comes to sex. Premature ejaculation is a common and often distressing problem for couples who simply want to find ways to make sex last longer. No one is born with the ability to control ejaculation. Men can learn to control ejaculation similar to the way bladder control (toilet training) is learned at young age. The commonest cause for premature ejaculation is stress or anxiety but other causes like neurological disorders, infection and inflammation of prostate gland or thyroid hyper function may lead to premature ejaculation. There are several very successful ways of treating premature ejaculation with proper approach and treatments.

Male Impotence - 5 Major Causes

MBBS, FASM (ANDROLOGY AND SEXUAL MEDICINE), DCE (EMBRYOLOGY), PHD ( REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE)

Male Impotence - 5 Major Causes

A normal healthy love life is as important as having a healthy body and mind. However, many men tend to have problems in maintaining a healthy love life due to the problem of impotence. A man is diagnosed as impotent when he experiences serious trouble getting an erection despite arousal or maintaining it during sexual intercourse.

Physical and mental impact
If the erectile dysfunction becomes a regular phenomenon, it can severely affect the person’s relationship status, not to mention his self esteem. Sometimes, impotence might be an indication of a serious underlying condition.

Symptoms
You might be suffering from male impotence if:
1. You are experiencing recurrent and significant trouble in order to get and subsequently maintain an erection.
2. You are suffering from a low sex drive for a long amount of time.
3. A combination of the both.

Solutions
Either way, a consultation with the sexologist might help to cure male impotence through a prescribed dosage of medications. In extreme cases, the doctor might prescribe an artificial replacement of testosterone within the body or even a surgery in order to normalize things. If male impotence occurs due to psychological factors, sessions of counseling might help to improve the condition. If diagnosed and treated efficiently, male impotence is an easily curable condition.

Causes
Male impotence or erectile dysfunction might occur due to numerous physical or psychological factors. Some of the causes of erectile dysfunction are as follows:
Under lying health issues, if you are suffering from major health disorders you may suffer from erectile dysfunction. Some of these could be

  1. Hypertension
  2. High cholesterol
  3. Diabetes, obesity
  4. Alzheimer’s disease
  5. Parkinson’s disease

Medication and treatments: Erectile dysfunction might occur due to the side effects of certain medications such as chemotherapy and blood pressure medications.

  1. Excessive alcohol consumption, tobacco usage or drug abuse: These elements put many harmful elements within your body and may result in prostate cancer or surgery within the pelvic area. If anyone has recently undergone surgery to treat prostate cancer or other problems of the pelvic area, it may cause impotence as well.
  2. Psychological trauma: Since the brain is one of the most important agents responsible for erections, any form of psychological trauma, anxiety or stress might trigger a dysfunction in the process as well.

STDs: Myths and Facts

STDs: Myths and Facts

Though sexually transmitted diseases affect a number of people, it is considered a taboo subject and not often talked about. This has given rise to a lot of misinformation and myths about it. Let's clear up a few of these myths.

Myth: Herpes Virus can be transmitted through a toilet seat.
Using the same toilet as a person infected with herpes will not increase your risk of contracting the virus. Herpes spreads only through direct skin-to-skin contact. However, it is a good idea not to share personal care items like towels, soaps etc with a person suffering from an STD.

Myth: STDs are transmitted only through vaginal sex.
If you are in direct contact with any kind of body fluid of the person suffering from an STD, you can get infected too. STDs can be transmitted through any form of intercourse including oral, vaginal and anal sex. Thus, always use a condom for any kind of sexual act.

Myth: Baby oil can be used to lubricate a condom
In some situations, you may need to lubricate a condom before use. Oil-based lubricants like baby oil, Vaseline and hand creams should never be used to lubricate a condom. This is because they can break down latex and allow STDs to pass through. Instead use water soluble lubricants like contraceptive jellies. You could also use saliva.

Myth: You can't get an STD if you've had sex only once
STDs like Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis have a very high infection rate. Having unprotected sex once is more than enough to get infected with the virus.

Myth: Two condoms are better than one
Condoms are not designed to be layered and used. Using two condoms instead of one may result in the condoms breaking due to the frictions between them. A condom must also be never reused. It should be put on as soon as there is n erection to protect against early ejaculation.

Myth: You can catch an STD only once
Some STDs like HIV and herpes are infections that last a lifetime. Others can be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. However, once you have recovered from an STD you are at the same risk of catching it again as you were the first time. When it comes to STDs like Chlamydia, a second attack can be worse than the first time and cause lasting damage to your reproductive organs.

The only way to protect yourself from STDs is to abstain from unprotected sex. Always use a condom for any kind of intercourse. Homeopathy play very important role in improving patients immunity and help fight infection through body's defense mechanisms. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

Most of the youth have misconceptions about penis size and sexual performance .They run after many tricks to increase the penis size! The average penis size of 8.8 cm (3.5 inches) when flaccid, whereas the penis size of 12.9 cm (5.1 inches) when erect Funnily a large number of men believe their penis is small and they cannot satisfy their partner. In fact almost 80- 90 % of women are happy with the penis size of their partner. The circumference or girth (you may say width) is 9 to 10 centimetres (3.5 to 3.9 inches) in flaccid stage. It is 12 cm in erected state (4.7 inches) Men who want surgery to increase the length of their penis should try non-invasive methods like penile traction devices or extenders first, and in some cases, even try therapy to make them feel more confident about their bodies. There is no proven scientific method to increase size, girth or grip of penis although many false claims have been propagated by advertisements. The size is determined by an individual’s genetic build and length actually has no relation with sexual pleasure or satisfaction as many wrongly believe. Be happy with your individual qualities nature has bestowed on you. At present, there is no proof of any non-surgical technique that permanently increases either the thickness or length of a normal penis. Some general research has been done regarding the safety and efficacy (or lack thereof) of the ingredients of various pharmaceutical or quasi-pharmaceutical preparations, but thus far, nothing has emerged to cause mainstream medicine to adopt any of them. There are also risks inherent in some of the more invasive procedures, with negative outcomes ranging from the tearing of skin and scarring, to permanent loss of sexual function. Early coming of semen is called PREMATURE EJACULATION and it is often psychological, due to anxiety or over excitement and mind control alone is needed. Ejaculation of semen during sexual intercourse before or immediately after penetration (the. Premature ejaculation) occurs when a man ejaculates sooner during sexual intercourse than he or his partner would like. Premature ejaculation is a common sexual complaint. Estimates vary, but as many as 1 out of 3 men say they experience this problem at some time. As long as it happens infrequently, it's not cause for concern. The primary symptom of premature ejaculation is the inability to delay ejaculation for more than one minute after penetration. However, the problem may occur in all sexual situations, even during masturbation. Premature ejaculation can be classified as lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary). Lifelong premature ejaculation occurs all or nearly all of the time beginning with your first sexual encounters. Acquired premature ejaculation has the same symptoms but develops after you've had previous sexual experiences without ejaculatory problems. Many men feel that they have symptoms of premature ejaculation, but the symptoms do not meet the diagnostic criteria for premature ejaculation. Instead these may have natural variable premature ejaculation, which is characterized by periods of rapid ejaculation as well as periods of normal ejaculation. Psychological causes Some doctors believe that early sexual experiences may establish a pattern that can be difficult to change later in life, such as: •Situations in which you may have hurried to reach climax in order to avoid being discovered •Guilty feelings that increase your tendency to rush through sexual encounters Other factors that can play a role in causing premature ejaculation include: •Erectile dysfunction. Men who are anxious about obtaining or maintaining an erection during sexual intercourse may form a pattern of rushing to ejaculate, which can be difficult to change. •Anxiety. Many men with premature ejaculation also have problems with anxiety — either specifically about sexual performance or related to other issues. •Relationship problems. If you have had satisfying sexual relationships with other partners in which premature ejaculation happened infrequently or not at all, it's possible that interpersonal issues between you and your current partner are contributing to the problem. Biological causes A number of biological factors may contribute to premature ejaculation, including: •Abnormal hormone levels •Abnormal levels of brain chemicals called neurotransmitters •Abnormal reflex activity of the ejaculatory system •Certain thyroid problems •Inflammation and infection of the prostate or urethra •Inherited traits •Nerve damage from surgery or trauma (rare) Common treatment options for premature ejaculation include behavioural techniques, topical anaesthetics, oral medications and counselling. Keep in mind that it may take a little time to find the treatment or combination of treatments that will work for you. Behavioural techniques In some cases, therapy for premature ejaculation may involve taking simple steps, such as masturbating an hour or two before intercourse so that you're able to delay ejaculation during sex. You may try avoiding intercourse for a period of time and focusing on other types of sexual play so that pressure is removed from your sexual encounters. You can also try diverting your mind before ejaculation is ready to come and proceeding after a brief break, thereby prolonging duration of intercourse / action The pause-squeeze technique You and your partner can use of a method called the pause-squeeze technique. This method works as follows: 1.Begin sexual activity as usual, including stimulation of the penis, until you feel almost ready to ejaculate. 2.Have your partner squeeze the end of your penis, at the point where the head (glans) joins the shaft, and maintain the squeeze for several seconds, until the urge to ejaculate passes. 3.After the squeeze is released, wait for about 30 seconds, then go back to foreplay. You may notice that squeezing the penis causes it to become less erect, but when sexual stimulation is resumed, it soon regains full erection. 4.If you again feel you're about to ejaculate, have your partner repeat the squeeze process. By repeating this as many times as necessary, you can reach the point of entering your partner without ejaculating. After a few practice sessions, the feeling of knowing how to delay ejaculation may become a habit that no longer requires the pause-squeeze technique. Topical anaesthetics Anaesthetic creams and sprays that contain a numbing agent, such as lidocaine or procaine, are sometimes used to treat premature ejaculation. These products are applied to the penis a short time before sex to reduce sensation and thus help delay ejaculation. A lidocaine spray for premature ejaculation is available Although topical anaesthetic agents are effective and well-tolerated, they have potential side effects. For example, some men report temporary loss of sensitivity and decreased sexual pleasure. In some cases, female partners also have reported these effects. In rare cases, lidocaine or procaine can cause an allergic reaction. Oral medications Many medications may delay orgasm. Although none of these drugs is specifically worthwhile as people believe, approved medications may be prescribed for either on-demand or daily use, and may be prescribed alone or in combination with other treatments to treat premature ejaculation, some are used for this purpose, including antidepressants, analgesics and phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, like Sildenafil or Tadalafil You can consult me on this site if you want prescription for these tablets with your full health details.
