Old age with knee pain is most commonly due to osteoarthritis managemnt depends on the stage of disease and the clinical condition of patient. Ask him to use a walking stick. Kindly get his both knee x ray. And review.

Try to workout in cooler environment. There is no harm in doing cardio or weight in an ac room or gym for two months.

Hi I'm 27 year old 178 cm height and weight less than 50 kg .This low weight problem is since the day I remember. At school time people make fun of me even my sports teacher make fun but I never mind them and keep myself motivated by doing some other activity keeping apart from sports .In college time also same things happened and I tried to keep myself away from people now it lead to mental frustration and some time I behaved abnormal with people and won't want to engage in society. As per standard my weight should be between 63- 67 kg .I keep eating but don't know where these foods go .Even few people make fun of it now why you waste food by eating when it doesn't have any effect on your body. Don't know how to handle with this problem. Please suggest some remedy.

Hi Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Is it ankle pain, if so it could plantar fasciitis, you need pain killers, ultrasound therapy and memory foam slippers/ shoes. If not ankle pain but other small joint pain in foot consult a Rheumatologist.

Our bones are composed of calcium deposits, and with age, the amount of deposits gradually reduce, leading to porous bones called in medical terms as osteoporosis - osteo for bone and porosis for porous. As the bones grow porous, they are more brittle and prone for fracture. In severe conditions, a person's limb length can also be altered, leading to stooped and shortened stature.

Osteoporosis is more common in females, especially after menopause, as there is a strong hormonal connection to osteoporosis. An advice for females post 40 is to include calcium and vitamin d supplements, thereby delaying the onset and reducing the severity of this condition.

Hi welcome - you can assess yourself once you are affected regularly by cough & cold, infections of various types, fever may times even in a month, some times t. B or more chronic disorders. So I advice to have more protein if within 45 years of age of any male or female (here age is written for the patient). Max. Vegetables, fruits 3-4 times, sleep tight 8 hours, high quality carbs like khchdi with some protein (veg /non veg any), dairy foods, curd, fruit juices, more electrolytes, water etc. Mostly need protein, multivitamins, all rest all nutrients in a specific ratio.

When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Hye. Thank you for your query. Usually you would decide to take protein supplementation to improve workout. Now, it all depends on your definition of" workout" just because you join the gym and pick a few weights or you want to grow muscles or gain weight does not justify taking protein supplementation. Proteins are not stored in the body like some nutrients. Your body will utilize only as much protein it needs and the rest will be broken down for energy purpose which is it's secondary function; main being building/repairing muscles. Depending on the exercise (ie. Strength training/cardio or activities like gymnastics or weight lifting) your body's needs for proteins varies. Although whey is natural and the most easily and quickly assimilated form of protein - it is not needed to be exclusively included in your diet. You have to have a balanced healthy protein rich diet for the protein or supplement to be utilised. Protein need totally depends on your present food intake & activity levels. Supplements are designed to combat increase in protein requirements. But mind you, just taking it to gain weight or taking it without the right type of" workout" or to burn fats can lead to side effects. Supplements cannot be taken in isolation. The dosage and combinations and requirements depend on weight training and cardio workout intensity, basic intake, medical history and lifestyle. You need to assess all these parameters if your liver is already compromised.

You will surely gain weight with a healthy diet and exercise! Make sure your eating for every 2-3 hrs. Have 3 main meals with 3 snacks in between. Include high protein foods such as badam milk, skim milk, yoghurt, curd, paneer, fistful of almonds, a cup of groundnuts, 4-5 egg whites, skinless chicken, fish etc in your regular diet! exercise tips: include in exercises such as pushups, squats, etc.
