My mother aged 80 years suffering from parkinson and was under treatment for Syndopa cr daily once was suddenly asked to stop due to which she had tremors and right now ridden.
You should not stop syndopa suddenly. She needs to be restated on medication and we should also check for other causes of worsening. She will recover with medication.
Asked for female, 27 years old from South Goa
My father had intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke 25 days before due to high blood pressure and diabetes. His right side is paralysed and he has difficulty speaking and swallowing. Doctors said operation is not possible and medications are given. Please tell me how long it will take to recover and are there any chances of stroke again. Will the bleeding in brain cure by tablets only? Will he be able to speak and move his hands and walk properly? Right now he can recognize everybody.
It will take 6 months for partial recovery .he may recover up to 80percent depending on size of bleed. Bleed will resolve on its own. U do good physio control bp and diabetes.
Asked for female, 25 years old from Bangalore
I am 25 years old female, from past one week I have the severe headache starting from the mid part and extension to both the side of the head. Not getting what is the problem actually. Is it any issue inside the brain.
If it is very severe you need to get a scan. If not it could be due to migraine or stress headache. Anyway you have to take doctor consultation.
I had temporal lobe epilepsy in my childhood. I had seizure in age 5. I took tegrital for 3 years. I then didn't have seizure. Does that mean that my epilepsy is cured?
If your seizure free for 3 years it’s good. As you age your brain also develops. Many a times seizures disappear. In some patients they may recur in adolescence. If you are free till now you might not get any seizures.
Hi all, I am 28 yrs I think I developed neuropathy 2 Months ago from taking 1000 mg of metronidazole. I started taking Neurobion (b- complex) tablet once a day 5 days ago prescribed by my doctor. Its been two months, is there any other treatment for this? And how long will it take my body to recover? Thanks.
Yes it is secondary to metronidazole. Any drug related neuropathy takes 3-6 months for recovery usually.
Migraine is a chronic disease. It can last for up to few years .U need to change your life style, avoid factors which are worsening headache and take proper doses of prophylactic medicines.

It might take 3-6 months for reasonable recovery. It depends on how aggresive you will do physiotherapy. Yes there is a chance of rebleed if his BP is not controlled. Just keep a watch on BP and do proper physiotherapy. Bleed will resolve on its own.
Asked for male, 63 years old from Navi Mumbai
Hi, My wife 62 yes old had stroke 3.5 years back affecting right side alopathic treatment. Is going on as per advise of neuron physician She walks around 1 km daily we stick support .physiotherapy is done as advised by physiotherapist Still she is not in a position to lift her right hand from shoulder. She lifts her hand to side to some extend. Her fingers are opens/closes to some extend. Please suggest any other treatment for this We reside in New Mumbai.
After 3 years nothing much can be done. However if she had stiffness it can be reduced with medicines .But do not stop physiotherapy. If you stop she might worsen.
