Few exercises for a strong core:
1: the off-balance workout
Looking for a toned stomach? these are two good reasons to turn your workout into a balancing act. A controlled wobble activates deep core muscles to help tighten the midsection and prepare athletes for that quick turn or lunge.
2: engage your abs
Before each move in our workout, first engage your abdominal by tightening them -- without holding your breath -- as if preparing to take a punch. You'll activate the core muscles surrounding your spine and tone your entire abdominal area. Engaged abs also help prevent injury when lifting. If you have a medical condition, be sure to check with your doctor before this or any new fitness program.
3: one-legged balance
Start with this beginning move, keeping a stable chair or a wall within arms' reach. With feet together, pick up one foot -- knee facing forward or to the side. Hold the position with eyes open, then closed. Switch feet and repeat for four reps on each foot. If any move feels wrong or unsafe to you, stop and check with a trainer. Depending on your health and physical condition, some exercises may not be recommended.
4: leg swings
Stand on your right leg and raise the left leg 3-6 inches off the floor. With arms at your sides, swing your left leg forward and backward, touching the floor for balance, while keeping your torso erect. Now, repeat the moves, but don't allow your foot to touch the ground. And finally, swing your left foot to the left side, holding your right arm out. Switch legs and repeat.
5: one-legged clock with arms
Balance on one leg, torso straight, head up, and hands on the hips. Visualize a clock and point your arm straight overhead to 12, then to the side (3), and then circle low and around to 9 o'clock without losing your balance. Increase the challenge by having a partner call out the different times to you. Switch to the opposite arm and leg and repeat.
6: one-legged clock with legs
Balance on one leg, torso straight, head up, and hands on your hips. Straighten the other leg to the front, and imagine yourself as the center of a clock. Point that foot to 12, 9, and then cross over to 3 o'clock while holding your balance. Increase the challenge by having a partner shout out the different times to you. Switch to the opposite leg and repeat.
7: one-legged squat
Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Point your left foot out front, just barely touching the floor for balance and push your hips back and down into this challenging one-legged squat position. Your right knee is bent, chest upright, eyes forward, and your arms out front. Slowly push up to return to starting position. Switch feet.

Hi lybrate-user, you should do a pregnancy test if you don't get a period by your due date. Before that, the test is unlikely to be very informative even if you are pregnant.

Hi doctor I am trying for pregnancy since 1 and year but my bad luck I have not conceived yet. Recently I have done my blood test my fertility profile details : luteinizing hormone 8.68 miu/ml Follicle stimulating : 7.45 Prolactin chemiluminescence : 41.30 ng/ml Thyroid stimulating 4.15 mciu/ml. Doctor has told tat I have some fertility problem can you pls tell me I can be pregnant I am very afraid about it and also should I take thyroid tablets. Please answer me.

Lybrate-user, if all other things are normal, and tsh levels are higher as in your case, conception may not occur. Tsh level has to be around 2 milli units/l before conception, plus during all three trimesters of pregnancy: 1st trimester 0.1 to 2 milli units/l, 2nd 0.3 to 3 milli units, 3rd 0.3 to 3.5 milli units/l. So presently if you are not on treatment with thyroxine you may have to start that so the tsh levels are brought below 2 milli units/l.

Hello, If pregnancy test is negative then you are not pregnant and the delay is likely to be stress induced. The symptoms are corresponding to those of PMS and indicative that you shall get your menses soon.

With swallowing semen no one can get pregnant and to get pregnant, sufficient quantity of semen should be deposited in the vagina. Menses can get delayed because of hormonal changes. You r 100% not pregnant and wait for another 1 month for getting menses.

Dear lybrate user, cramp like pain when menses r approaching and pains of early pregnancy (in few cases)they r almost similar. It is too early to come to a conclusion whether it is menstrual or related to pregnancy. I ll advice u to wait for few more days and get a UPT done with a home kit.

If the periods are regular once in 28 days 14 Th day from the starting day of the period will be ovulation. So from 11 Th day of starting of period to 17 Th day you have to try.

We’ve always heard that friendships may come and go, but sibling relationships last forever. Over the course of our lives we share many memories and experiences and often times they are the ones who know us best. There are many types of sibling relationships ranging from ones who share everything with each other to those who don’t even acknowledge each other’s presence. However, there are always things we can do to improve our relationships with our siblings. Here are a few things you could try:

1.Get rid of baggage

Growing up, we all feel the pressures from parents and neighbours. They sometimes pit siblings against one another. So, before talking to your sibling, get rid of all the baggage you may be carrying around from childhood and start with a clean slate.

2. Break the ice

If you really want to solve the issues between you and your sibling, don’t hesitate to be the first to talk to them. Put your ego aside and talk to them to resolve your issues.

3. Time for a ceasefire

In order for a ceasefire to happen all sides have to want it. If you and your siblings agree that it is time to resolve whatever differences you may have, sit down and talk through the problem. Just remember, once a ceasefire is called it is important to not start up arguments again simply because discussions may not be going your way.

4. Offer solutions

It is not enough to place blame and state that there is a problem. You have to be ready to want to find a solution and alter it according to what you both think is right. You cannot expect your sibling to stand there and take blame for everything. Come up with a solution that suits everyone involved.

5. Are you the problem?

If you feel like you can’t trust your sibling and often find yourself lying or skimping on the truth because you feel they may not understand, ask yourself if the problem is really them or you. Tell your siblings what it is you need from them. Don’t be afraid of what they’ll say and don’t avoid them because you may not like what they have to say.

There is no limit for doing sex or not. Jut when you feel hungry you feel craving to eat something. In the same way if both partners feel like having sex they can have it as many time a week but you must give prime importance to your partner, his/her feelings before having sex.

Yes vaginal sex can be practice during pregnancy. After 5 months of pregnancy one needs to change the position of male partner. Intercourse can be practised in male standing position or sideways position. Male partner should not lie on the tummy or growing fetus. Anal sex is not good for both of you and for the baby also. Anal sex can expose its participants to two principal dangers: infections due to the high number of infectious microorganisms not found elsewhere on the body, and physical damage to the anus and rectum due to their fragility. Risk of injury to the woman is significantly higher because of the durability of the vaginal tissues compared to the anal tissues.
