You have not mentioned the age of the baby. But if it's a newborn 7 mm is normal size. Abnormal size is more than 10 mm known as mega cisterna magna.

Hello doctor my baby growth is now 10 weeks and last 3 days was having cough. My family doctor recommended to take 5 ml of ascoril. Whether this may harm the infant.

You should not give this cough syrup to your child as it is not prescribed for children less than 2 years atleastn preferably 4 years.
