Hi, my right leg knee swelling from last three days. I took pain killer and use omnigel but no relief. Without injury...
If it isn't painful and doesn't restrict range of motion, use a crepe bandage for compression. Please don't tie so tight as to leave a mark. Use warm packs with omnigel. Avoid kneeling or squatting, and move ankle/toes frequently. If it doesn't subside, or if it's painful and/or restricts movement, best to consult an orthopedic surgeon.

Orthopedist,
I get tired easily whenever I play badminton and got pain in my joints. So please help me on this issue.
Have you ever felt pain in your great toe or may be ankle/foot/knee/heel/wrist/elbow which was intially in one joint and over the time involved other joints too. Then you might be having increased uric acid levels. Diet is important in such patients. Consume food less in purine content like cornflakes, white bread, pasta, flour, milk and its products, eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, green veggies and fruit juices. Strict no to all high purine foods like meats, seafood, beas, peas, lentils, spinach, cauliflower, mushrooms, beer and other alcoholic beverages.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. The best way to manage will be to keep sugar levels undr control, take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement, take a short course of anti inflammatory medication which suits you and do intensive physical therapy, initially with modalities till there is pain, then at home. Also you can do ice packs at home which will provide pain relief as well, also local analgesic spray like dynapar qps or volitra can be used. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
