Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

You seem to be suffering from cervical spondylosis in which the nerve to your left upper limb get compressed in the neck causing pain to radiate along left upper limb. Get an x ray cervical spine ap and lateral views and following blood tests fasting: calcium, phosphorous and alkaline phosphotase, vitamin d level, uric acid and vitamin b 12 and revert back with reports.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hello lybrate user do regular stretching exercises of legs and back with best advice of well experienced physiotherapist. Hot formentation before exs yo relax the muscle. Add high fiber diet in schedule and fresh fruit juice too.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. My age 31 weight 112 height 6' 1 my problem is related to AC joint fracture. Which I had due to accident in year 2007. It is stage 3 type fracture. But don' t have any problem with it today as I have not gone through operation. What is the success ratio of such operation and whether is it necessary to operate.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform Kindly consult a urologist as well.

I am 40 years old, recently I met with an accident it was a minor one, there was only a slight fracture in left zyomatic bone, I want to know if there are any natural methods to heal the fracture.

Hello, if the fracture is undisplaced or very minimally displaced on the CT scan, then the fracture will heal naturally. But the correct decision will be done by a plastic surgeon or an oro-maxillary surgeon.

I am 38 years old and have slip disc, tried two orthopedics and two neuro surgeons not free from pain. I have been having following symptoms from 06-09-2016 onwards Also I have following symptoms My name is D Siva Sai Ram and I am from Bangalore, I have below symptoms from September 6th 2016 onward. 1) can not sit in chair for long as there is total discomfort and pain on the upper back and neck, feel like lying down very often 2) pains on the back, buttocks, legs, numbness in legs, itching, burning sometime at lower back 3) muscle weakness in legs and arms 4) while sleeping uncomfortable feeling in neck, head, back and upper back 5) chest discomfort, vomit sensation - very often 6) weakness, unable to focus or concentrate for long and lack of focus/concentration and feeling sleepy 7) when getting up from chair or from squatting there is full giddiness/chakkar, also I get pain in left and right thigh when getting up from chair 8) muscle spams while sleeping (sudden jerks) in legs and hands 9) when I bend forward, backward or side ward even slightly I get pain in the hip or back 10) sciatica pain in left leg and numbness in right leg very often Also find the MRI report summary below MRI report says below small sized posterocentral and left paracentral disc extrusion is noted at L2-3 level compressing the thecalsac. Mid left lateral recess narrowing is seen at this level indentation of the traversing left L3 nerve root small left far lateral (extra foranimal) disc protrusion is see at L5-S1 level indenting the exiting left L5 nerve root mild lumbar spondylosis changes are seen with anterior osteophytes lipping at multiple levels. Degenerative hypertrophy of the bilateral facets is noted at L4-5 level I have taken complete bed rest for one week and then took pelvic traction for another week in hospital after that trying to do normal daily activities, but I cannot do. Quality of life is pathetic, how much period treatment is needed please guide.

Reasons can be-* cold weather *sitting in inconvenient posture constantly, without changing your position or without movement, *wearing ill fitting sandals, *lack of exercise or *internal disorder like arthritis. Point to observe- * if you have difficulty in climbing stairs, take lift while going upstairs. If there is no lift, go up slowly. * if it is due to strain of games or injury, take rest. * if it is due to obesity, reduce weight. * if it is due to constant sitting at a particular posture, change posture and engage in slow walk. * walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take bryonia 200---twice daily morning and evening and give feedback after 7 days for further treatment, consult privately (prime-rs. 149/).
