Hello- yes, this is complication of your ulcer. The pain reflex of your ulcer is radiating towards your rib cage. >do consult your doctor regarding this issue or use- kamdudha ras 1 tab twice daily.

My daughter age 24, is having severe and untimely pain in arms and legs from past 20-25 days, yesterday there was pain in hand only and spinal area on her back, in hand pain accompanied with temperature gain in arms and head and when pain disappear it becomes cold. She just married last year in may and her in-laws behavior is not good, she is very much mentally disturb, her husband do not say any thing but does not oppose his family for wrong things which disturb her. Please suggest what good can be done and what medical problem she might be having ? please help

My answer to the first part of your question is, your daughter has to consult a general physician in order to rule out typhoid fever, malarial infection, jaundice, anemia or even dengue fever, because all the symptoms you mentioned here are few of the symptoms of such conditions. My answer to the second part of your question is, it is very very common in our country, adjustment problems with in-laws and husband's ignorance in such things. Almost every newly married woman has to face these kind of problems. The problem may be your daughter's incompetence to manage that emotionally. There is a chance for her pain behaviors arising from her unconscious mind crying for help to escape from this stressful situation. Ask her to be positive in her approach towards the in-laws, looking into and praising the positive aspects of them. And it is good her husband remains neutral without torturing her to obey his family members like many others do. Her stress tolerance will develop once she gets children and be busy with child-rearing practices and other future plannings with her husband. If she does not complain about her problems with in-laws, her husband may turn positive towards her in course of time. Until then, you can help her as a patient listener to her problems without giving any judgments or negative comments on anybody, which can give her ventilate her bottled-up emotions leading to relaxation to some extent.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

If you have lower back pain pain pls check your body weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. . My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the If you have back pain while walking and standing

1.Take one tablet of crocin pain relief sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a) Take X ray/MRI cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b) Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) Do physio therapy and neck exercise after consulting physiotherapist d) Consult doctor for further advice.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Before running do stretching exercise then do nw do rest tk hot and cold pack and apply pain relief ointment avoid strain and long standing. After relief do stretching exercise in daily routine. Tk calcium supplements.

I am having pain in my knees for the last 2 months I have tried everything to get relief from this but nothing happen...
Knee joint is very complex joint made by 3 bones - femur, tibia, fibula and knee cap - patella. Several ligaments, cartilage and menisci are covered all around. So pain in knee joint may be due to several reasons. Normally after 50 plus age this disorder is very common because of arthritis. But in your case it seems there may be any internal injury like cartilage etc for which you are not aware about or pain may be due to deficiency of vit d or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Make use of hot packs and ice packs alternately. Apply with the ration of 3: 2 which means 3 min ice then 2 min heat. Ice has very good results in relieving pain than heat so combination of both gives you complete relax. As ice reduces pain and heat stimulates blood flow around the affected area. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. Relax for 5 minutes. 3. Do some knee (quads) isometrics atleast 10-15 times with the hold of 5 -10 seconds. Also you can do some knee strengthening in the mean time like - hams sets, knee bending and straitening, heel raising, bridging, squatting, lunge etc. Lot of exercises are there. The above treatment will give pain relief and discomfort. If possible please contact any physio who will study your daily routine, symptoms, degree of pain etc and accordingly will give you the best treatment plan. Along with it give you our pain relieving modalities like ift, us vacuum therapy for 10-12 days with mobilisation exercises. Good luck and get well soon.

I got lateral minucus tear in july 2011 while playing football. I underwent arthroscopic surgery in my left knee in September 2013. Before surgery, mri report said lateral miniscus tear with cyst in my left knee. After surgery in manipal hospital Bangalore, my life became hell and I faced knee pain, stiffness, bike riding knee pain, could not stand for 30 min continously, could not use indian toilet, prolong sitting impossible on chair etc etc. None of these problems I had before surgery. Before surgery Dr. Claimed that I can play football within 6 months. After 6 months of surgery that is on apr 2014 I did mri which said no fresh tear with cmp condromalecia patella level 1 and ra blood test negative with vitamin d correction needed. I lost all hope with my surgeon and believed that only for money he did surgery to me and ruined my life. I had tendocare medicine from september 14 till apr 15 and simultaneously homeopathy. Now my condition is better as compared to aug 14 case. I believe it's cos of homeopathy medicine. Past one month I m doing isometric knee strengthen exercise including vmo at home. These physiotherapy I did post surgery for 3_4 months but as pain was still there so I stopped these strengthen exercise but I re started them last month as my injured knee thickness is half of my correct right leg. My condition is better now say 5/10 but prolong sitting in office or rainy season cold increases pain n stiffness. I feel burning sensation, stiffness, not able to bend knee fully, pain around knee cap, can't walk for say 30 mins without pain, uneasiness and pain at the bottom of knee cap. Now my only remedy is to apply knee pain killer oil and exercise and take homeopathy medicine. I wonder if I can be equally fit as I was before surgery. I doubt if surgery was needed for me at first place but that was already done 1 yr 8 months back. I request a orthopaedic doctor to advise me as in what is my knee problem and how I can get rid of it Thank you.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. As you had lateral meniscus tear with a cyst, if you had symptoms correlating with your mri findings, then there is a valid reason for arthroscopic knee surgery which was done in your case to excise the cyst and balance the meniscus. Also fresh mri revealed no tears in your knee structures, so I think the surgery was well done and your mensicus was balanced well. So there is no need to crib about it at all. I think what you lacked was a scientific approach to post operative rehabilitation which is poorly understood in our country. Anyway now you have improved and your symptoms are due to chondromalacia of knee, atleast that is what you have written. Again for this physical therapy is mainstay of treatment with strengthening of quadriceps, stretching of other group muscles - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake - daily brisk walks for 2-3 km per day in morning - you should actually avoid indian toilet, sitting cross legged till the time you have pain. - you can use a gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or one which suits you on a sos basis for some time. Let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling, so that we can discuss and take your case forwards. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Hello lybrate-user. Back and generalised back pains are commonly caused due to low vit d levels I would suggest that you take a Vit test and increase dietary products like milk and milk products such as paneer and cheese. Also sea food like fish is good for you. You can also take Vit supplements available as sachets and capsules.
