Skin Care Products - Why You Must Chose Them Carefully?

Skin Care Products - Why You Must Chose Them Carefully?

Human skin is indicative of the health of a person. It is often said that most skin conditions are only symptoms of what is going on within the body. However, there are certain conditions which are caused by external irritants to the skin. It is thus important that you take care of this organ and also be careful in choosing the products which you apply on it.

Why choosing skin care products carefully is important?
In today's world of infinite choices, there are plenty of options in the shelves of supermarkets, specialty stores and beauty treatment spas that offer much variety. However, you should realize that a lot of the benefits claimed are just marketing tricks to get the products to sell more. It is up to you to exactly find what suits you best.

Various types of skin care products:

There are multiple types of skin care products. Some of them are:

  1. Skin cleanser
  2. Toner
  3. Exfoliant
  4. Treatment for acne
  5. Skin lightening treatment
  6. Anti - wrinkle or anti-aging creams
  7. Moisturizers

Specialized Treatments for Skin Conditions: As is evident from this list, not everything is applicable to all people. Thus, they have to choose according to what their most specific needs are. However, if you have a specific beauty regimen where you are using the products very regularly make sure that the ingredients won't do you harm in the long term.

Dangers from Lower End Skin Care Products: Skin care products sourced from cheaper materials or used in mass scale productions have known to contain many harmful chemicals which seep through the skin to cause multiple types of cancers. However the most direct assault is on skin itself and the most common worse outcome would be increasing chances of skin cancer.

Some of the harmful chemicals know to be included in cosmetic products include:

  • Lead
  • Beryllium
  • Thallium
  • Cadmium
  • Selenium
  • Arsenic
  • And Nickel among others.

Choosing carefully and wisely: Whether at the shelf or online it is better to research the ingredients before you buy a beauty product.  You should be able to look through the hype of marketing and the clever disguising of the ingredients or warnings in a subtle manner. You are paying for your skin care and thus should get the best quality product possible within your budget. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Specific Best food : 1. Egg : Enriched with protein which helps in growth and improves the quality of hair 2.Bean: Contains silica which prevent hair loss. Helps the base of hair roots and helps to form new cells and regenerate healthy hair. 3. Carrots:Promotes growth of cells of scalp, thus helps in shiny , well conditioned hair growth . 4. Sea food: Contains abundant zinc. Fish contains Sulphur which provides essential fatty acids necessary for maintenance of healthy hair. 5.Dates and Raisins: Contains Iron which helps in haemoglobin production , thus enhancing the oxygen supply to the scalp. 6.Oats: Contain Zinc, Iron and omega -6-fatty acid , which again helps in hair growth. Common mismanagement -Excessive stress - Cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. - Avoid treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - Avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - Excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rainwater and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Best Oil to prepare at home would be ? To coconut oil add plenty of curry leaf and onion , once onion becomes brown ,take out of flame. Best Conditioner: Egg white or Hibiscus powder Best natural medicine for hair growth: Chop onions and make a paste of it. Extract the onion juice and apply on the scalp. Keep this for 20 min and do head wash. Can find a drastic change in 2 months time if you do it daily. For further treatment and enhancing the hair growth , you can take Homoeopathic medicines. We recommend specific parabean free homoeopathic hairoil and shampoo for treatment

Hi, home treatment is generally all that is needed for most cases of diaper rash. At the first sign of a diaper rash, try the following steps: keep the skin dry, and make sure the skin is not in contact with urine and stool. Change the diaper or incontinence brief every time it is wet or soiled. During the daytime, check the diaper or brief every 3 hours. You may need to change the diaper or brief during the night to prevent or clear up a rash. It is not unusual to change a diaper or brief 8 times in a 24-hour period. Use a superabsorbent disposable diaper. Gently wash the diaper area with warm water and a soft cloth. Rinse well and dry completely. Do not use any soap unless the area is very soiled. Use only a mild soap if soap is needed. Do not use" baby wipes" that have alcohol or propylene glycol to clean the skin while a diaper rash is present. These may burn the skin and spread bacteria on the skin. Medication: apply homoeopathic preparation - calendula ointment over the affected area 3-4 times a day daily and orally give your baby calcarea carb. 30/ 3 times a day till the rashes disappears.

Hair Fall - 9 Quick Tips That Can Help You Handle It!

Hair Fall - 9 Quick Tips That Can Help You Handle It!

Hair-fall is a normal process, if we consider the hair-growth cycle that lasts for two to six weeks. The usual rate of growth is about one centimeter a month. After two to three months, hair which were in their ‘resting phase’ shed to allow new hair to grow back. Deviation from this normal cycle leads to abnormal hair-fall which can then become a matter of concern.

Tips to handle abnormal hair loss

  1. Testing hair thinning: Take 20 to 30 hair strands and hold them between your thumb and index finger. Pull firmly and slowly. If more than six hair strands happen to come out at a time, then you might be suffering from abnormal hair loss.
  2. Limited use of hair dryers: Consistent heating weakens the hair proteins and leads to brittleness and fragility of hair follicles. Hence, limit the uses of hair dryers, curlers, hair straightness or hot brushes.
  3. Avoid Perms: Avoid chemical straightening or curling which breaks the inner bonding of your hair and makes the hair brittle.
  4. Avoid bleachingBleaching removes the natural pigment and weakens the hair follicles.
  5. Avoid pulling the hair strands tightly: Certain hairstyling involves tightly pulling the hair and using clips or elastics, tight braids, plaits, cornrows, tight ponytail. Avoid using heated rollers. ‘Traction alopecia’ is the term coined for tightly pulling of your hair.
  6. Use a mild shampoo: Regularly washing your hair cleanses your hair as well as your scalp which prevents any chance of infection and the subsequent hair loss. Instead of shampooing daily, do it on alternate days. Mild shampoo includes sultaines, sulfosuccinates, silicones, and amphoacetate.
  7. Right Choice of Shampoo: Use different shampoos for different purposes; dandruff, greasy or normal hair and for dry hair. If the shampoo is rich in protein, it may boost the volume and make it thicker and smoother for a temporary period, but does not repair the damaged hair
  8. Use a good hairbrush: Use a soft brush, made of natural fibers. Instead of a brush, use a comb for wet hair.
  9. Scalp Massage: Massage your hair with nourishing oils such as rosemary, coconut, almond or lavender oil. It warms your skin and boosts blood circulation and provides nutrients to the follicles.

There is always a confusion in patients’ mind regarding choosing right treatment approach for vitiligo. Every patient has 3 choices: 1.Allopathy - gives quick results but is not very safe for long term use. 2.Homeopathy- is safe but very slow and in most of cases it can not stop the spread of disease i.e old patches show some recovery but new white patches continue to come even while using the medication. 3.Ayurveda -If one thinks about. It is difficult to find a good Consultant. KAYAKALP GLOBAL is a leading skin clinic in India treating Vitiligo (Leucoderma.
