I have pain in my back due to regular studying in 12 class and my eyesight is also effective please give me the solution.

Hunching over a desk is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. For eyesight problem check your eye with an ophthalmologist. Best wishes.

I am 75 years old. I have developed hip paim. How to cure it? any gel to be applied? pain is more when getting up from bed. No pain if I sit straight.

Adv. X ray pelvis with both hips. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) & hip exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Dear lybrate user, first there is no disease called cervical pain. Cervical is latin name for neck & any pain in neck region can be called cervical pain. Now coming to reason for same, it can be due to structures involved in neck (cervical spine) which can be disc (disease called axial neck pain or cervical radiculopathy), joints (facetal arthritis), muscles (trapezitis) and nerves. Hence it is advised to consult specialist for thorough clinical examination and putting proper diagnosis. Do not worry even if it is cervical pain (as you pointed out), it can be treated depending on your exact status of disease.

I am 23 years old male and suffering from chronic shoulder and neck pain since last 4 years. I had taken treatment from neurologists but it does not worked. Hello lybrate-user. Rheumatoid arthritis has been seen to be associated with an eye condition known as scleritis. This entity is characterized by eye redness associated with pain and inflammation of the coats of the eyeball (uveitis). There may/ may not occur associated reduction of the vision. Also, there may occur dryness of the eye which may vary in intensity. It would be a good idea to get your eyes checked in detail by an eye specialist in person. Hope my suggestions helped you. I am 23 years old and I'm having a severe back pain from yesterday. Today when I woke up, I was not able to bend down even, I am keeping my back straight all the time. Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

Follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise ( learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Get cervical X ray AP and lateral done and review with reports Consult Physician/me for Further Management

I am doing aerobics regularly but my knees have started paining. What supplement of calcium should I take to get rid of this pain? While sleeping at night after few hours my upper back also starts paining which affects my sleep also. Can you suggest something?

Dear lybrate-user, calcium consumption is of no use until and unless your body absorbs and utilises it. For now you need to use natural foodstuffs that is rich in calcium and avoid sofdrinks and take a medicine Rhus tox 6 twice in evening at 2 hrs gap for 5 days and consult back with blood biochemistry reports and vit D3 test.

As you mentioned it can be frozen shoulder. For this I advice you to take physiotherapy treatment for 15 days. Or apply heat fermentation with diclofenac gel and shoulder excercises at home can also be done. But physiotherapy will b faster to reduce pain and to gain strength in muscles.

Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road. My doctor said that I am having grease problem in my knee and I am only 21 years old. The solution of this is to inject supplement in my knee which is applicable for 2 years only. Please tell me the reason, cause and another treatment of this problem (if any). Tell me about this supplement and the whole procedure. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
