Uncontrollable and recurring thoughts are due to obsessive compulsive disorder, and hallucinations can be due to schizophrenia. You must consult a psychiatrist at the earliest to identify, diagnose and treat the real issue. Later you will have to be under counselling.

Repetitive tasks, intrusive and repetitive thoughts, checking, counting, disproportionate excess need for order and cleanliness, as well as anxiety when not able to do the same are signs of obsessive compulsive disorder. Patients with OCD suffer from significant distress, anxiety and depression due to the same which impairs their quality of life. Please consult a Psychiatrist at the earliest. With a combination of medication and behavioral therapy it is likely that your symptoms will improve.

High Functioning Autism - Understanding It

High Functioning Autism - Understanding It

We have heard the label" high functioning autism"- - it basically means that the disorders are present at a higher level. And the symptoms of that disorder and co-morbids are amplified compared to the same disorder / co-morbids at the lower end - since they are spectrum disorders.
A lot of us dont know much about it, what is it exactly or its symptoms and traits and crucially how to handle it or deal with it in daily life.

There is more to it than meets the eye.

It completely affects the individual life in the following: aspects:

  • Education
  • Behaviour
  • Employment
  • Emotions
  • Relationship
  • Mental health
  • Meltdowns

All we have seen and heard is the" behavioural" aspect of it especially challenging behaviour which is only one aspect of it. Without knowing or understanding some of the other aspects that coexist with it. Nor the

Co-morbidity of other disorders present at the same time.

N. B. Granted -some have a better understanding of it than others -

  • This article gives a simple overview for everyone involved. The individual him / her self, the parent, carer, guardian and educator. To start to understand exactly what" high functioning" is, all about -.
  • The additional article links within the article are also worth a read.
  • Hopefully this series of post will provide us with a better understanding of" high functioning autism. And its effect on the entire life of individuals living it.

It is not uncommon to feel depressed after a loved one, especially a mother's, death. Although heartbreaking I must, as a psychiatrist, say that a week has passed and it seems like you have not moved on. It is very hard to get over the fact that your mother is not with you physically. However, lingering over the fact and becoming depressed is something that needs to be addressed at this point - since it has been 1 week since the incident happened. I hope you book an appointment with me as soon as possible. You can text, call or book an appointment to talk over the webcam if you wish. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!

I am not against" looking good" neither am I against cosmetic surgeries but I would suggest you to reconsider your decision. If your face looks disfigured you may surely go ahead, but if it is just a minor deviation from normal it does not make much of a difference to your personality as such. By the way, you have all sorts of cosmetic surgeons and skin specialists available who can give you relevant options. Most of the cosmetic surgeries are irreversible. There are instances of surgeries that did not go up to the clients expectations or even were against expectations. So look before you leap. Take care.

Hello Dear User, Crying is a mechanism to relieve the stress from your body. It also heightens your body emotions and allows a positive release. There is nothing alarming about not being able to cry but I would suggest you to consult a psychologist for any further assessment or help. It will help you in gaining clarity over your emotions and how to handle them. You can contact me personally for any further query. Take Care.
