Ayurvedic Remedies To Treat Hair Fall!

Hair loss can be harrowing for both men and women, especially if it tends to be above normal for extended periods of time. Losing more hair than that can signify problems within the body such as hormonal changes, ageing, life style related issues etc.

Lifestyle change tips to avoid hair fall: Even before getting into Ayurvedic remedies to control the loss of hair, it is important to reduce the problems which may be contributing to the problem in the first place. Some of the things that you may be required to do are:

  1. Maintain or start of on a healthy diet and cut fatty, oily and processed foods from your diet.
  2. Start exercising to ensure that your body is in the best shape it possibly can be and thus everything within, is functioning optimally.
  3. Start doing yoga, breathing exercises and other meditative techniques to ensure that your stress levels are kept under control.
  4. Get head massages regularly as they improve blood circulation within the scalp
  5. Quit smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and inculcate good sleep habits which help prevent hair loss problems.

Controlling hair loss with Ayurvedic tips:

  1. Indian gooseberry or amla: A pack of amla, bramhi and henna powder can be made with curd and water. Apply it and keep it for a couple of hours and then wash it off. Amla juice mixed with lemon juice can be massaged on the scalp after the wash. This will make the follicles on your scalp stronger.
  2. Ritha: An age old solution to hair problems, Ritha is also known as soapberry as it contains naturally foamy and cleansing agents. Crush the Ritha seeds and keep them soaked in water overnight. Wash your hair with the mixture in the morning and continue for a month to see visible results.
  3. Aloe vera with cumin seeds: Mix about one third cup of aloe vera juice with a little bit of cumin or Jeera powder. Use this mixture at least twice a day, for a few months to see results in the prevention of hair thinning.
  4. Bhringaraaj: One of the most effective Ayurvedic herbs used in many medicines, it can be taken internally to help the system repair the hair related problems, or applied externally as Bhringaraaj oil to encourage hair growth and stopping hair loss.
  5. Brahmi oil: Considered brain food in its herb form, Brahmi oil is known to be very good for hair related ailments and is very effective at stopping hair loss and help new hair growth. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

And im pulling out ingrown hairs from belly button, still hairs r coming out. I hv consulted doctor, he said it is abnormality from birth, a minor surgery is needed at belly button region to cut off some part of skin which is responsible for ingrown hair. Hv used lot of tablets but couldn't cure the infection continuously, nd hv gone through ultrasound scan but found ntg, everything is normal. But one doctor who told abt surgery is recommended to go through MRI scan. I couldn't clearly understood what is the actual problem n why it is happening? please someone explain the cause in brief. Here is the full details of my problem. 1. Umbilical discharge n swelling from last 8+ month's on nd off. 2. Finding hairs coming out from belly button when it is infected. 3. Color of discharge is white. 4. Gone through ultrasound scan but got report as Normal abdominal study. 5. Took DOXCEF CV-200mg 14 tablets, 2 tablets per day for 7 days but problem remains same. No reduction in discharge n swelling. Above are the complete details of my health n treatment taken, should I go through surgery to solve this problem? What actually happens during surgery, I want brief explanation. please tell me.

General Physician,
It seems you have fissure in umbilical cord which may be present right from birth or congenital. I am of the opinion you should have a mri scan done and go for surgery so that it cures permanently.

Soak 4-5 almonds in milk overnight. In the morning make a paste of them and apply it on your face and rinse it off after an hour or two. You will definitely feel the glow on your face in less then 15 days. (you can add honey, oats and yogurt for quicker results)

You can nit do anything about such a small baby's skin tone. He will keep becoming dark or light according to weather and daily routine. You need not worry until he is one, he cannot do anything to his skin. Massaging with oil makes the skin look dark temporarily.

I workout daily .and started getting some gains .but lately i've been getting stretch marks. Its on my chest and biceps .those doesn't look good. Is it genetic? Can I reduce it? Can I stop it? Any cream suggested? Or lotions?

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

Stretch marks form on your skin due to excessive workout, or excessive weight gain. What we can improve is the appearance of the marks with some treatment. Dermaroller, platelet rich plasma therapy, or fractional CO2 laser can help in improving the appearance of the stretch marks. Laser works the best. Creams and moisturisers can be used for preventing further stretch marks. You can contact me at my clinic or through photos for more detials and treatment.

Vertical nail ridges extend from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. Vertical nail ridges often become more numerous or prominent with age, possibly due to variations in cell turnover within the nail. As we grow older, the levels of natural oil and moisture in our nail plates go on decreasing so the ridges often become prominent with age. Follow a good lifestyle with healthy diet rich in proteins, more vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water, sleep for 7-8 hrs, go for regular exercise homoeopathy will offer a permanent cure for you.

How to control my hair fall. N how Smooth n silky my hair. And how to control my hair dandruff?

How to control my hair fall. N how Smooth n silky my hair. And how to control my hair dandruff?
Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like *physical or emotional stress, inadequate protein intake, genetics, anemia, aging, hormonal changes, prolonged illness, deficiency of vitamin b6 and folic acid, thyroid diseases. *hair fall can also result when one indulges in too much dying, blow drying or use of hot curlers. *dandruff can also be great cause behind hair fall. Take homoeopathic medicines 1. Graphites 30 (4 drops in little water) every morning empty stomach only one dose in a day for 15 days. 2. Jobarandi q (10 drops in little water) twice a day for 15 days and update. Apply jobarandi hair oil. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. *take a sound sleep. *avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight. *avoid hot hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. *it is best not to comb the hair while it is wet as this leads to greater chances of hair breakage.
