My age is 27 year/male 69 kg, hight 5.10 fit sir I have suffered big problem of depression and headache with hyperacidity since 3 year at that time I have fear to walk. Alonely. I have already seen a neuropsychiatry and take medicine for 9 month and recoverd 70 % and now working as microbiologis in a pharma company since 2.5 year but now again it is headache and head pain and some depression also. I am doing yoga but not effective and also problem to take heavy dose medicine kindly give me proper advice.

I am 25 and smoking from last three year and I want to quit now. But I think it is next to impossible for me. please help me to avoid this addiction and please tell me how to remove tar or how to keep lungs healthy.

To remove tobacco tar from your mouth you must visit a dentist and get a thorough cleaning of your teeth and gums. When you smoke you damage your lungs: when you smoke more you damage your lungs more: and if you smoke less you damage your lungs no less – well may be a little less. Your desire to smoke less is most welcome but it is not enough. You must quit your smoking completely and you must do it now, seriously. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged. But don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. I don’t know what other organs could be damaged but do go for a thorough medical check up to assess the effects of your abuse. Regarding improving your lungs, do a lot of aerobic exercise breathing through your nostrils only. Then there are a lot of deep breathing exercises in Yoga which you can learn too. Deep breathing cleanses your system and lungs and restores it to good health. Deep breathing uses the 80% of the lungs which are not normally used in normal breathing and even when exerting yourself. The greatest effect is in the lungs because this substance is processed through the respiratory system directly through the lung surface. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine gums and nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. But don’t fool yourself any smoking is harmful, and you need to seriously get on with quitting it completely and immediately.

YOu have to explain the situation to parents and understand the reason for their not approving and and forget the relationship .CONCENTRATION TIPS Here’s some tips to get into a state of deep concentration where work / or studies flow easily so that you can do well in examinations/ and or do your work well. 1) Cut Off the Noise Getting into a state of concentration can take at least fifteen minutes. If you are getting distracted every five, you can’t possibly focus entirely on your work. Request that people don’t interrupt you when working on a big project. If you are required to answer phones and drop-in’s immediately, schedule work when the office is less busy. 2) Structure Your Environment The place you work can have an impact on your ability to focus. Try to locate yourself so you are facing potential distractions such as doors, phones or windows. This way you can take a glance to assess sounds that would otherwise break your focus. 3) Clarify Objectives Know what your goal is clearly before you start. If you aren’t sure what the end result is, the confusion will make it impossible to focus. 4) Divide Blobs. If you have a large project that needs work, clearly identify a path that you will use to get started working on it. If the sequence of actions isn’t obvious, it will be difficult to concentrate. Taking a few minutes to plan not only your end result, but the order you will complete any steps, can save hours in wasted thinking. 5) Know the Rules Get clear on what the guidelines are for the task ahead. What level of quality do you need? What standards do you need to follow? What constraints are there? If the rules aren’t clear from the outset, you will slip out of concentration as you ponder them later. 6) Set a Deadline Deadlines have both advantages and disadvantages when trying to force concentration. A deadline can make it easier to forget the non-essential and speed up your working time. If you give yourself only an hour to design a logo, you will keep it simple and avoid fiddling with extravagant designs. Time limits have disadvantages when they cause you to worry about the time you have left instead of the task itself. 7) Break down Roadblocks Roadblocks occur whenever you hit a tricky problem in your work. This can happen when you run out of ideas or your focus wavers. Break down roadblocks by brainstorming or planning on a piece of paper. Writing out your thought processes can keep you focused even if you might become frustrated. 8) Isolate Yourself Become a hermit and stay away from other people if you want to get work done. Unless your work is based on other people they will only break your focus. Create a private space and refuse to talk to anyone until your work is finished. Put a sign on your door to steer away drop-ins and don’t answer your phone. 9) Healthy Body, Sharper Mind What you put into your body affects the way you concentrate. Nobody would expect peak performance if they showed up drunk to work. But if you allow yourself to get chronic sleep deprivation, overuse stimulants like caffeine or eat dense, fatty foods your concentration will suffer. Try to cut out one of your unhealthy habits for just thirty days to see if there is a difference in your energy levels. I’ve found even small steps can create dramatic changes in my ability to focus. 10) Be Patient Before I write an article, I often sit at my desk for a fifteen or twenty minutes before I put finger on the keyboard. During this time I feel a strong urge to leave or do something else. But I know that if I am patient, I’ll stumble upon an idea to write about and enter a state of flow. Without a little patience, you can’t take advantage of flow when it rushed through you. If you need strong concentration I recommend periods of 90-120 minutes. Any less than that and you will waste too much time getting started before the flow can continue. More than this is possible to sustain focus, but you will probably benefit from a quick break. These are the general guidelines for concentration, studying well or doing your job. Regards.

The most important thing is how are you feeling? no body can be in a better position than you, who can tell, whats good for you. So if you are feeling better without the medication, then you can continue without it. Do not be preoccupied by the feeling that you will not do good. More than the condition your thoughts will hurt you. So live freely, do your work, get active, do any form of exercise, do what makes you happy, drink lots of water. Try these things and get back to me and tell me how you feel.

I have been majorly dealing with intrusive thoughts for as long as I could remember. It manifested in the form of different themes through the years. I haven't spoken about it to anyone in fear of embarrassment. And now it's taking a toll on my health and relationship. And I've been through various websites and forums looking for a cure. And that's when I stumbled across obsessive compulsive disorder. Everything I had been experiencing had been jotted down in the name of pure O ocd disorder (Counting obsession involving lucky and unlucky numbers when I was in primary school ; obsessions involving phobias - fear of losing emotions, fear of going insane, fear of death ; Sensorimotor obsession involving breathing ; Religious intrusive thoughts while praying - my opposite wishes pop up in my mind when I pray and causing panic ; Relationship obsession ). All of these themes have ruled a decent period of my living and it keeps shifting to a new subject, anything that's close to my heart. I'm tired of fighting these thoughts and at times I get numb and detached for days together and there are days when I just cry it all out. Loss of appetite also occurs. And most days I live in my head. Like I analyse and fight with these thoughts right from the moment I wake up, till I go to bed. This really is having a negative impact on my day to day activities. I need an expert to look at into it and suggest if ocd might the case. So that I can look for treatment options. Kindly advise. Thank you.
