Hi, diet chart for obesity: morning: 6am: brisk walk for 45 min. Morning tea with 1 marie biscuit breakfast: 1 glass skimmed milk with 2 tsp cornflakes, 5 almonds: club sandwich with tomato, boiled potato, cucumber, ketchup or chutney (no butter or mayonnaise) 11am: orange or apple lunch: 2 thin chapattis, 1 katori yellow dal, mixed vegetable or any seasonal vegetable cooked in just 1 tsp oil, curd, citrus fruit. 4 pm: tea with murmura or roasted chana 7 pm: soup with club sandwich or dinner roll. (for soup take 2 tsp any yellow dal, 1 onion, 1 tomato and salt and add 1 glass water and pressure cooker it, sieve it, soup is ready) bedtime: 1 glass milk if hungry.

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

As weather is changing, new water is getting mixed with old water and due to water pits and water storage in and around houses; there is increasing chance of mosquito breeding. Try to keep surroundings clean, avoid pits around houses. There is increased risk of diarrhea so drink clean and hygienic water to avoid many viral diseases.

Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy eggs nuts fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least 4-5 times a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements. They will not work in isolation. You have to have a nutrient dense meal.

Dear. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight. * body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soup or salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

Include more proteins in your diet. Pulses, sprouts, milk, cottage cheese/panner, are rich in protein. But work out is the best option and the most effective option. But it weight gain or weight loss there is no escaping work out.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. If you have fasting glucose of 261 mg, then it means diabetes is not under control. In sucha situation giving a diet plan is of no use. First and fore most is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG:<100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c%<7. Plus t is essential to also look a the lipid levels. If all these things are in expected range, then I can suggest a diet plan. Plus it is essential to exercise daily for over 1 hour. It appears your current treatment is not adequate, needs to be changed or upgraded. So please first attend to that or come in a private conversation with all the details that I have mentioned, then I will be able to give specific guidelines including diet chart. Thanks.

Do regular exercise, take high protein diet,, take soaked chic peas soaked pea nuts, soaked soybeans,,take Dates, cashew almonds daily,,take green veggies,,take lots of fruits,,take plenty of water,,this along with regular exercise will improve ur condition definitely

To start with avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Combine these dietary changes with 1 hour play/walk / exercise. Its difficult to draft a diet chart here which is tailored to meet your requirements.
