Neuroblastoma is a serious form of tumor predominant among infants and children. Although inconclusive, research ascribes exposure to chemicals, wrong medication during pregnancy, early infections as the causes which lead to neuroblastoma. It usually spreads to other parts of the body and generally occurs in the adrenal glands, or nerve tissues in neck, chest and abdomen. Common symptoms include lesions, swellings, constipation and spinal pain.
HOW IS NEUROBLASTOMA DIAGNOSED?
Neuroblastoma can be classified into low risk, intermediate and high risk categories of which the last one is very difficult to cure.
