Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. - Do steam inhalation three times a day
- have more of warm fluids, water, tea, coffee, soup, avoid cold fluids
- do x- ray chest, consult a doctor as you may require medication .

Yes he can have any time, provided by taking milk he does not have increased symptoms of wheezing.. It's not always allergic to all asthmatics.

I would suggest you to - get his xray chest done.
Get him checked by paediatrician as he might needs antibiotics, cough medicines and nebulisation.
Give steam inhalation twice daily. Keep him warm.
Keep him well hydrated.
