Our body is made such that a balance is necessary. Too much or too little exercises can cause pain in muscles especially leg and back. Tight hamstrings and calf muscles can cause pain at the back of the leg. Also it could be due to back issues like disc and joint problems etc, where pain is referred to legs because of low back. When nerve is irritated, it can cause sharp leg pain as in sciatica. Sometimes leg pain is due to vein problem.

Wall calf stretch
Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Get down on all fours with your hands under your shoulders on the floor. Walk your hands forward slightly on the floor. Spread your fingers apart to allow for a broad base of support. ...more

Hi Suman.
Sitting crossed legs is not good position for the legs and now as you have pain in back of the knee i will suggest you few exercises that helps reduce pain. If possible take TENS therapy for 5 days.
1. Lget Lift
2. Hamstring Stretch
3. Hamstring Curls
4. Steps up.
These are the exercises for reducing pain and also gives strength to knee joint as well.

What is your age? Since when r you having this. Do get your thyroid profile, cbc, blood sugar fasting, vit b12 checked from some lab. In the meanwhile do these exercises.
