Hypertension means a recorded BP higher than the normal range for age. There can be many reasons for it and it will be difficult to explain all that to you. To know if you have BP you can get your BP checked by a local doctor/cardiologist. And in case they find that you have hypertension then ask them to evaluate and suggest a plan of treatment. Hypertension may not have any signs at all or it may present with headaches, uneasy feeling, nose-bleeds, redness of eyes, breathless etc etc etc.
