This degree of narrowing is associated with significantly reduced blood flow to the heart muscle and can underlie symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath. In the diagram above, an 80% blockage can be seen at the beginning of the vessel

Blockages in heart is a reason for heart attacks coming frequently, but it is not a reason to not get operated. Get in touch with a good doctor who will investigate for blockages and do operation. May be it looks like that you are scared of a heart operation and you are in denial that the doctor does not want to operate.

If she has blockages and with all these other illnesses, the first thing should be to get the blockages open either by stents or by surgery and continue with medications post that along with strict diabetes control. If you donot choose to get blockages addressed then she can continue on medical therapy but there is no reassurance that she will not have a heart attack.
