Certain type of cancers run in family like for females breast ovarian etc otherwise sometimes male breast cancer, adrenal glands sometimes hereditary colon cancers etc long list but most of the cancers diagnosed are life style related and tobacco related so inheritance of cancer will depend on type of cancer your family was suffering from. Stage means the size and the spread of disease. Grade means differentiation from normal cells (well/moderate/poor differentiation) indicating the prognosis.

Dear sir, approximately 5-7 %cancers are hereditary, so it's not the must that one would suffer but certain cancers have more risk Of being hereditary like breast, ovarian, colon etc. Cancer stage means the size of tumour and it's spread. Grade means howmuch the tumour cells have deviated from the normal cells. Higher the stage or poorer the grade, worse is the prognosis.
