Still, I'll suggest avoid medicines unless you have excruciating, intolerable pain. Go for physiotherapy. It'll give you results, may be slowly but surely. And without medication. Also Physiotherapy uses Therapeutic Yoga, which are exercises similar to Yoga asanas, but designed to suit indiv...more

, yogasans are always helpful. Even pranayam and asana together will be more beneficial. Surgery done long back need not have residual effect, it is usually in the patients mind that there is a problem. The body recovers very well. So she can definitely try both the asanas and pranayam. But it is equally important to have hypothyroidism in good control with tsh levels around 3 to 4 milli units/l. Thanks.

Back pain needs restrictions in gymming and stiffness needs to be avoided. Some light exercises may be allowed which can be best demonstrated by your trainer or physiotherapist.

Yoga however is better choice if you need flexible body and relaxed back muscles without backache.

Herbals should be supplemented to look younger along with good, balanced, green diet.

Dear Lybrate user. Such kind of symptoms is very much common in perimenopausal age group (around the age of 45) due to hormonal deficiency.
